Geo: -20.02, 57.58While Robert was still unable to move freely we decided to check out another possible place to stay or possibly go on a tour with them or get transport back across to Mahebourg. Finally found Ebrahaim Tours ( google maps failed us) and looked at their rooms which were quite nice and reasonably priced. They were also on the main drag right across from the beach. Maybe if we ever return. Unfortunately, the tour was another matter. Pushy lady at the desk, prices changing as we spoke, decided not to go with them.That night for dinner decided to check out Zorba's down on the waterfront. Geo: -20.02, 57.58Got up and fixed coffee and cereal and decided that Robert's leg did need some attention because the wound looked fairly deep. Asked Vivek where we should go and recommended a clinic nearby and called a taxi for us. Once again we were reminded that we need to carry copies of our passports with us always! They were able to treat Robert anyway. This Medical Center is very professional and well equipped for all types of treatment. The treatment: gave him some pain killing shots before they began to clean him up and gave him two stitches and did quite a bandage job on his knee and toe and some antibiotics. Total bill: 1515.24 rupees or $47!!! He will need to come back in five days to have the stitches removed.We were very impressed ... read more
