Highlights of Ghana

All good things must come to an end .
I have had the best 9 weeks of my life. When visiting Ghana you must be very opened minded and embrace the new culture as much as possible .

Places you must visit.

1 Cape coast castle: A historical building thats holds tons of history on the slave trade , worth journey .Also visited by Obama and his wife .

2 Canopy walk : You are 400 feet above the ground but its such an adventure so glad i did it .

3 Kokrobite : A great place to spend the week . Stay at Big Millie’s and enjoy the Reggae party on a Saturday night. On the Sunday enjoy yourself on the beach .

4 Busua Beach Resort: A lovely beach resort , reminded so much of the carribean , a nice place to spend the wekend and relax .

5. Kumasi : You must make the long journey to Kumasi , it's so worth it . The people of Kumasi are amazing.. Also visit the biggest, market of west Africa a bit scary but try and go with a local .

6The Stilt Village : You must make the 6 hour trek to this village . The peopl of this village live on stilts above the water . I would recommned staying for the night in the guesthouse , the journey alone is tiring .

There are still loads of places i wanted to see . Here were just a few of the places i visited and really enjoyed.

Guide books are good to read and buy but sometimes local people can often recommend
nice places to visit

I knew that once i visted Ghana , i would want to travel to more places . I'm so excited for 2010 and am planning to travel to more plaes in Africa , Asia and also South America . So wath this space lol
