Hey guys
Thanks for viewing my profile. I'm embarking on a 9 week Journey to Ghana. Apart from being extremely excited I’m also very scared at the same time, very mixed feelings. In Ghana I will be teaching Drama and working in an orphanage.
I love travelling but in many ways Ghana is personal Quest to give something back to society as well experiencing life from a different prospective. I will be updating my Blog as much as possible. Please feel free to message me. I will definitely be asking you guys fo updates from East enders lol

All good things must come to an end . I have had the best 9 weeks of my life. When visiting Ghana you must be very opened minded and embrace the new culture as much as possible . Places you must visit. 1 Cape coast castle: A historical building thats holds tons of history on the slave trade , worth journey .Also visited by Obama and his wife . 2 Canopy walk : You are 400 feet above the ground but its such an adventure so glad i did it . 3 Kokrobite : A great place to spend the week . Stay at Big Millie’s and enjoy the Reggae party on a Saturday night. On the Sunday enjoy yourself on the beach . 4 Busua Beach Resort: A lovely beach resort , reminded so much ... read more

I’m so happy that Ghana won the under 20’s world cup. It was such a nice atmosphere. At the orphanage it has inspired so many of the children and probably many more people in Ghana. Apparently in Accra , there was street parties until the early hours of the morning . Ghanaian s love to party so that was the perfect excuse to party on the streets . lol What am I missing in London anything interesting? I heard about Steven Gately , I can believe it very sad . I liked Boy zone many years ago Whats happening on Emmerdale , coronation street and Eastenders Please someone fill me in lol ... read more

Tonight the orphanage will be having a welcome party for me. Apparently I’m the first ever black volunteer they have every had . It has confused the children so much . They are baffled that there are black people who are classified as African descend living in different parts of the world .I have been told I will have to explain to the them the history of slavery and transportation of black people worldwide . lol I think when they think of black people they think of Ghanaian s , Nigerians and other African domination but the Caribbean/ west Indies is now a new place on the map for them . Explaining this one is going to be an interesting . hehehe I will upload pictures soon , it takes so long . But i ... read more

It has been a great 5 weeks in Accra, i really have enjoyed myself and i will miss it . But I’m so glad that I choose two contrasting placements in different parts of Ghana. I left for the Volta region on Friday Morning. As soon as I arrived I could see major difference's it was quiet , not many car taxi’s but Motorbikes had replaced the traditional taxi’s of Accra . Oh my I really don’t how I’m going to get on the back of a motorbike. God help me. Lol The orphanage I’m working is run by a pastor and his wife and there 7 children. They are all so welcoming. There are 30 children in the orphanage aged between 3 and 17 . There is also a school in the day time that ... read more

It took me quiet a while to adjust to the random noises at night in Accra for example the local mosque loud speaker prays throughout the night , random loud speaking and numerous animal noise . Its official Ghana does not sleep, forget New York . lol I must say my social Ghana is much than London , the bars and clubs and restaurants are very welcoming , you always have a good time and meet new people . Best places to go out are Osu aslso known as Oxford Street and Labardi beach on a Wednesday reggae beach party . Despite this there is still a long list of places that i really want to go . I have 5 weeks left in Ghana but am thinking of maybe staying for 2 weeks longer . ... read more

1 month already , i can't believe it , i'm having the time of my life . I really do have so many people to thank for that. Number one being God who has kept me sane and shown me so much in such a short time .And my parents for encouraging me to always aim for the sky . I think being in Ghana has really made me realise whats important to me in life . I have made friends with this amazing lady that i work with .I shall call her Mrs C . she is 3o year old newly widow , who works so hard and has sacraficed so much to send her kids to private school . She has seen a few hardships in the last few years but no matter what, ... read more
