We all awoke in trepidation awaiting the 10:00am arrival of Mr Fix-it... he cam at 11:00am... off to a good start.. quick drive to the Police Station to collect the number plates & pay insurance and we should be on our way..1:30pm and we are still sitting on the front steps of the police station!!... then action... come come Mr Fix-It shouts... off to the harbour we go.
Arrive and attach the number plates.. then wait some more... then we get to drive 400mtrs to the military gate post.. then wait some more.. then pay some more.. then they decide to search the vehicles.. then we wait some more..
The total process to 2.5 days and nearly $ 800US of fees and Bakcheesh (bribes).
Tomorrow we will head out towards Cairo just because we can..
