Our group woke up late for a change before heading to the ACE Egypt animal care facility. This is a place where poor Egyptians can take there animals such as donkeys and horses for free medical care and washing. There is a lack of knowledge among the poor Egyptians about how to treat their animals. Many of the animals are under fed and are worked to they fall down and hurt themeselves. Also their is a belief among the poor Egyptians that if the animal is hurt in a certain spot then if you burn the area around it the animal will get better. Well this only leads to greater infections or death. In fact if the animal is so bad that they require ACE to put them down first ACE must buy the animal from the owner because the owner will not give up the animal. So this place called ACE is non profit and provides all medical care needed for the animal and if you would like to donate then you can go to www.ace-egypt.org.uk

Following the ACE animal care facility I headed to the Mumification museum which contained a very well preserved mummy. Also it contained all the items needed for mummification. The museum was small and well put together and the best part is that it was nicely air conditioned.

Our group headed to the bus station in Luxor to take a local bus to the city of Hurghada. The ride would be 6 hours long in an semi air conditioned bus. We finally made it to Hurghada which is a very tourist type town on the Red Sea. I had dinner at a night restaurant and watched the first half of a world cup game. I hit the sack early because we had to catch the ferry to the Sinai Peninsula tomorrow. So I say Good Night and Good Bye from Hurghada.
