Aswan
Along the Nile with Felucca's and date palms. I spent a semi restless night on the overnight train from Cairo to Aswan. The train was 2 hours late because between Luxor and Aswan some thieves had stolen the communication cables for the train to communicate with the stations. So with no communication the train went down the track very slowly and stopped frequently. After arriving in Aswan I was greeted with a spectacular view of the Nile. The water is semi blue with Feluccas (Sail Boats) sailing down the nile and date palms all along the shore.
After taking a nap our group headed to a boat to be taken across the Nile to a small village. We were shown the home of the boat driver and watched a video of his cousins marriage. Later we taken to the desert where we mounted our camels for a ride through the desert. I had my own camel this time and was able to steer it.
Later on we sailed over to the old Nubian village were we entered a traditional Nubian home and ate traditional Nubian food. This was a real house were people lived and went about there business. After dinner we sailed back to hotel in

The nile and camels
Well thats a new experience for you camel jockey. Looks like fun. The nile looks fantastic, I can imagine floating down it like in the days of Cleopatra. I think you need a flashlight at night on the boat. Loved your pictures, especially you on the camel. Have fun and take care as always, Mom
