Street scene, Cairo, Egypt It took a while to check in last night due to a mix up with the rooms, so I slept late and had quite a leisurely start to the day. Wandered around the ´local´ section of Khan al Khalili bazaar for three or four hours, drank turkish coffee and found a restaurant for lunch. The menu was completely in Arabic, so we were totally unaware what we´d ordered and were pleasantly surprised when it turned our to be spaghetti and meatballs.
Relaxed back at the hotel until the Intrepid group meeting, then went out for Egyptian pizza followed by a big walk home afterwards. The group consists of three Aussies, two Kiwis and our local Egyptian leader Sam. Unfortunately two of the group wont arrive until the morning, as a result of the British Airways industrial action, but they´ll be here in time for our first activity so fortunately wont miss out on anything.
