Many bloggers have been members of the travel blog community for several years and have published many blogs and yet for whatever reason they have not yet made it to the front page.
I would like to give those bloggers a bit more attention. I would like you to decide if they have earned your recommendation.
Take a look at
Ake Och Emma who was recently a blogger of the week. One more recommendation is needed to stay on the front page. This blogger has been a member since 2006 and has published more than 90 blogs. A keen eye for photography.
Reply to this Here's a 5 year member with 60+ published blogs and some fantastic photos. Searching the world......on the move.

Reply to this Jackie and Chris have published 70+ blogs and are now touring the US.
jackieandchris2011 I wish we had realized they were in San Francisco. It would have been great to hook up with them.
Reply to this I have spent the last year writing about every trip I have taken since my conception in China in 1949...the Chinese believe that my life began then. So far I have published 160 entries containing 163 thousand words and 4831 pictures. Amazingly I have found pictures for all trips except three. Digitizing all these slides and prints has been quite an exercise! I have six blogs to go from the year 1993 before I am up to date, although I may add more entries for trips we have taken around Colorado and the Southwest.
Out of curiosity, I recently counted the countries I have lived in and visited. I've lived in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the United States, Germany and Belgium, and visited 59 for a total of 65. Being a goal driven person, I decided to set my goal for 100 countries.
I would be pleased to hear from fellow bloggers about their reactions to my travels to date.
Reply to this Hello Bob and Linda 😊
This is a highly impressive resume of your blogging that you have posted. I am going to nominate you for the Blogger of the Week. We dont know who will be the next winner yet, but you will be on the list and hopefully others will second, third... my nomination of you to help convince us that you are the one to choose. I will also give you my recommend.

Reply to this For those who are not familiar with how to nominate a Blogger for the Blogger of the Week award, what you do is post on the following thread the Blogger you want to nominate, or else add your nomination for one that is already on the list. All Bloggers on the list are possible future Blogger of the Week award winners so add your nomination for any of the ones already nominated, if you like their blogs. 😊

In response to: Msg #148367 Thanks! I will be following you, too. I was hoping that I was the sort of traveler that Travelblog was hoping to identify. I've enjoyed participating on your site, and making friends. I recently had the pleasure of taking "Slowfeet" out to lunch when they visited, and look forward to doing the same next year when "D MJ Binkley"s pass through. We will likely look up Ferdi and Talita when we visit Auckland next year.

We are enjoying reading all of these seasoned bloggers for a couple of reasons. One they have shown a commitment to travel blog...... and they have had time to perfect their writing style.

By popular demand, Bob and Linda are going to be getting an award on Friday. They will be the next Blogger of the Week. 😊
Congratulations in advance, Bob and Linda! 😊
And, looks like your next blogs will be Featured on the Front Page, now that you have the 5 recommends required. Be sure to have at least 500 words and 4 photos in each blog, as those are the other requirements for the blogs to get on the Front Page these days. 😊
Reply to this What about
m1ssjane, an Aussie living in London. Georgous blogs and photos, and lots of them too. She started blogging on TravelBlog in 2007 and is still blogging. I am also going to nominate her for the Blogger of the Week award. 😊
Reply to this Byrnesy is a really nice one too. I am going to nominate her for a future Blogger of the Week award.
Keep digging up those seasoned bloggers. I am slowly checking out all the ones in this thread, with a view to nominating them as Bloggers of the Week. 😊 Hopefully, folks will continue helping with choosing the winners, by seconding, thirding... the nominees, or nominating new ones even. To be eligable for nomination, bloggers must have fewer than 5 recommends, never won the award before and be currently blogging.
