Many bloggers have been members of the travel blog community for several years and have published many blogs and yet for whatever reason they have not yet made it to the front page.
I would like to give those bloggers a bit more attention. I would like you to decide if they have earned your recommendation.

Reply to this I knows that you found me on this forum and I subsequently was awarded Blogger of the Week. I note that several others identified here have been nominated as Bloggers of the Week, also. However, there is a separate forum for nominating bloggers for this, so I'm wondering how this forum is much different as to what is expected once we identify Seasoned Bloggers. Should I nominate JenGog, for example, as Blogger of the Week? I think their blogs are great reading, and I look forward to their travels with a new motorhome.
Reply to this I guess I need to know the diffence between being selected for the front page and Blogger of the Week. Other than 5 pictures and text what are the criteria for the front page?
Reply to this Hi Bob,
I guess I should answer this question since I am the one who started the forum thread.
I wanted to be able to call out and draw attention to bloggers who had published more than 50 blogs on travel blog. My focus was on the numbers of blogs produced not a comment on the quality. I was also looking for people who had demonstrated a long term commitment to blogging on this site.
What I have learned from this thread is exactly what you have recently pointed out that most if not all of these bloggers should be nominated for the blogger of the week award. I believe that most are very good writers, photographers and have found away to attract others to be interested in reading their work. Did they start off as great writers or did that develop over the time of publishing 50 plus blogs-- who knows. You would need to read their early work to make that determination.
Looks like this thread may be redundant.
My personal bias is that it can be difficult to be identified and pulled out of the obscurity of all the thousands of blogs published each day.
From time to time I am disappointed when bloggers who have reached blogger of the week status stop blogging ..... but that is to be expected.

In response to: Msg #150783 Thanks for the clarification. I will draw upon this forum to identify those I wish to nominate for something, and then do it on the other forums. You will see my nomination for JenGog as Blogger of the Week on that forum.
As for identifying those who have published more than 50 blogs, and are still active, couldn't Ali do a sort and provide you with the list. It may be very long, so you might want to start with more selection criteria; e.g., more than 50 blogs, more than five countries; more than 500 pictures; blogged within the last year, etc. Just trying to make it easier on you by letting the machine do what it does best, and then you can concentrate on identiifying the better bloggers on the list which only a human can do...I think.
Reply to this Way 60 blogs, lots of wonderful photos and currently traveling and many observations to share.
