We want to spend a few weeks this October on the beach somewhere off the beaten track. Not interested in Mexico. Looking for some place where the water is pretty, and we can relax. Please give me your suggestions for the early part of October.
Thanks! Reply to this

I would probably go to tropical countries like Brazil or on the other side of the world, the Philippines! Reply to this

there is a link to lazy beach on our blog which was agreat place and the food there was brilliant too.

where are you travelling from - that will probably be the deciding factor.

we also had a great time in colombia on the carabean coast - the beaches there were brilliant and the people fantastically friendly.

some of the beast beaches/islands we have been to are in panama - San Blas - quite out of the way and great fun!

The best place I can suggest is Cyprus. It's known for its world class resorts and the breathe-taking view of golden sand beaches. The water is so clear that you can see different aquatic creatures and colorful corals below. Reply to this

I would like to suggest Israel - you can choose the mediterenean side or the red sea at the south, and even take a day or two and go visit another different type of beach - on the dead sea!
October is really good time weather wise to visit this special and different country and also enjoy its beaches. Reply to this

I recommend that you visit Bali as it is known for its long clean beaches and crystal clear water. The month of October marks the rainy season in Bali which means it isn't a high season making it all the more cheaper and less touristy. All of this makes visiting Bali all the more viable option for you since you want a place where you can be alone. Reply to this

i would suggest that you could go directly to cebu and stroll their beaches then connect a flight to siargao.

siargao are group of islands still unspoiled. you can also get snorkeling with an stingless jellyfish. try to search for a resort in bucas grande part of siargao which is still virgin and have plenty of lively corals.

there are many activities you can do in siargao like scuba diving, swimming in a lagoon and white sand beaches, gamefishing, mountain biking and hiking, cave trekking, bathing in falls, mangrove forest eco-tour, kayaking, island hopping and surfing!

siargao is very safe and peaceful with friendly, accomodating locals. Reply to this

hi leah,

i would recommend siargao!!!

siagao are group of islands and islets, still unspoiled but it have plenty of first class and economy accomodation scattered in different islands.

siargao has an airport serviced by a budget airline called cebu pacific.

you can have plenty of activities to do in siargao like island hopping, diving, snorkeling, swimming in a lagoon and powdery white sand beaches, kayaking, gamefishing, mountain biking and trailing/hiking, bathing in falls, mangrove forest eco-tour, cave trekking and surfing!

the locals are friendly, accomodating, speak a little english, and peace loving. Reply to this

The place known for its beaches is the state of California in US. This place has a wide variety of beaches which will keep you occupied for the whole of October. For a rush free experience do visit the Long Beach in Naples. Unlike other beaches in California, the long beach authorities do not permit dogs and there is a complete ban on smoking here.
