Hi, It has been really long since I wrote an entry, so my kids decided it is my turn this time to tell the story of our adventures in Bolivia after returning from Rurenabaque (Pamapas and Amish). And if the kids say I should be doing somethin, I better do it... After returning to La Paz from Rurenabaque, Tal decided he has to make some strength and courage test - he went biking on the 'Death Road'. It is a gravel road that stretches over ~60 km with many curves. It is very narrow and on one side there is the [View Full Entry]

Hi it is Nitzan and I am going to write a long blog. From La Paz we drived 20 hours in a bus to a small town called Rurenabaque. There we found a hostel that was full of Israelis but we had no choice. The next morning we found an agency to go to the Pampas. The Pampas is a kind of a savanna. The next morning we woke up early and got on the way with our group to the Pampas. Hi it is Nitzan, My brother Omer told you about Cañon Colca (Colca canyon) and I am going to tell you about Titikaka Lake. We arrived to Puno the city that is right beside Titikaka Lake. The next morning we took a tour to 2 days in Titikaka Lake with a boat. The Peruvian part makes 65% of the lake, and 35% is the Bolivian part. The first day we sailed to islands that are called Los Uros. They are the only 'floating islands´ in the world. they are called floating islands because they are made of plants and grass. Hi, this time it is Omer. After leaving Cusco (on which my sister to9ld you all about) we went to Arequipa. In Arequipa we went to the main plaza and fed the pigeons. We also fed them from our hands. It was a lot of fun. In the afternoon we went to a cinema to watch a movie off course called Land Of Lost or in Spanish La Tiera Perdida. It was about dinasoures. The cinema was in a very clean mall, and we also had dinner over there in Burger King. Next morning we went by bus almost the whole [View Full Entry]

The sauna was really warm but I was freezing from the water so we took off our wet suits and entered to the sauna with swimming-suit and we were [View Full Entry]

As I promised in my last entry, I will dedicate this entry to eating in Peru. In general, we were positively surprised from the food - there is a great variety, and the food is generally tasty and well seasoned. The king of the kitchen and the most common is the chicken. There are so many restaurants dedicated of roasted chicken 'pollo ala brasa'. The queen of the local kitchen is the potato - and there are tens types of potatoes in the market - red, white, small, big and many more kinds that I cannot describe. Therefore, chips or french [View Full Entry]
