Has anyone used this before? If so, please help.
Looks like Greece and Spain are out of the picture, too much extra money/time to travel there.
But does anyone know about the Eurail travel. http://www.raileurope.com/index.html I've been using that website and it looks like you buy the pass but you also have to buy the tickets each time you go from place to place. Has anyone used it before, I don't understand
Reply to this I've used Rail Europe a couple times. First of all, know that this website is for North American residents only. If you buy a regional pass, you simply specify how many days you will use the train. Each day you indicate on your ticket allows you unlimited train journeys for that day. You don't need to buy tickets for each leg but you can make a reservation for a specific leg if you want. I'm pretty sure each reservation is $10 USD. I never make reservations ($10 is pretty steep, IMO) and it usually isn't a problem, but sometimes the train is fully booked and you might have to wait. I think I vaguely remember reservations being required on overnight trains... you might want to check that out. Good luck!
Reply to this Yeah I think we have plans for one over night, the rest will be daytime. And it was weird, when I was checking the reservations it said the prices were up in the hundreds! And some (on the same trip) were like $28. Very confusing :/
Reply to this Hello Samantha 😊
I moved this to the new forum for Overland travel.
