Distance driven today: 202 miles / 325 km Cumulative distance driven: 13,130 miles / 21,131 km (3,000 miles to go) Today’s trip: Salta ro San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina Tires changed on the bike: yes, two sets of brand new tires for the remainder of the trip Latest time starting riding ever: yes, we started riding at 7PM!!! The plan today was really simple. In the morning we would first send a package to Seattle with things we no longer need, and then we would get new tires for the bike. Madrugamos en Tafi con Emiliano y fuimos al terminal para tomar el primer bus que nos llevaría a Amaicha, de allí tomaríamos un taxi compartido también con otra nueva amiga que conocimos en el terminal llamada Marina. Hermoso el recorrido en el bus que nos lleva de Tafi a Amaicha, es un panorama vistoso, con grandes montañas y ríos caudalosos que deslumbran... Llegamos a Amaicha y ya habíamos hecho el plan de ir al famoso museo de la pachamama, aun no sabíamos mucho de el, pero nos habían dicho que era muy lindo y deberíamos visitarlo. Así lo hicimos y llegamos a este bien decorado museo, visitamos desprevenidamente el sitio y notamos que todas las obras, de escultura, pintura, bordado y en general todo estaba firmado con el apellido Cruz. Į "Tucumaną" atvažiuoju 4 ryto, bet bent šiek tiek numigęs jaučiuosi daug žvalesnis, nors dušo dabar tikrai neatsisakyčiau. Mano tikslas - Cafayate kurortinis miestelis kalnuose. Tikėjausi, kad iš čia bus autobusas iki Cafayate, bet ir iš čia jis nepigus. Praslampinėju po stotį apie 2 val. ir sugalvoju, kad kadangi jau esu šitam mieste, reikia bent šiek tiek jį apžiūrėti, nors dar neivienas žmogus man nesakė, kad čia yra ką pažiūrėti. Ir vistik visai įdomus miestas, man jis pasirodo įdomesnis nei visų liaupsinama Mendoza. Grįžtu į stotį, o ten sužinau, kad kitas autobusas į Cafayate, tik 2 val dienos, kai dabar tik 9 ryto. Pradeda veikti turistų informacija, tad ten gaunu vietinį regiono žemėlapuką. Sotyje per visą rytą taip ir neradau ne tik interneto, bet i veikiančios rozetės kompui pakrauti. 1009 kilometres. Max speed 111 miles an hour After the border fiasco we had many miles to catch up to keep on schedule. We woke up to morning traffic and joggers at 6.30 ish, had a quick cupper with Gray's little stove thing, on a park bench and were off by 7.45. Before we could say 'oh look at that' the children had all fallen asleep again. We kept trucking South, stopping at Metan for breakfast in a bus terminal restaurant. Croissants and orange juice and hot chocolate and coffee. The waiters here seem to have the habit of just listing what is available, instead of handing us a menu and we have to choose something. Hoi iedereen!! Na vele aanzoeken is hier een vervolg van onze avonturen.. Het heeft een tijdje geduurd deze keer aangezien ik erg ziek ben geweest! En we zijn ook veel onderweg geweest.. Eens nagaan welke herinneringen ik nog kan oprakelen voor jullie ;) We hebben de drijvende Uros-eilanden bezocht. Het was ongelooflijk om te zien hoe deze mensen deze eilandjes hebben 'gebouwd' op het Titicaca-meer, het hoogst bevaardbare meer ter wereld! Alles was heel old-school en back to the basics tot we opeens.. een zonnepaneel zagen haha! Best wel grappig binnen het hele plaatje.. Deze hadden ze nog maar enkele jaren voor verlichting, radio en een zwart-wittelevisie. We mochten de lokale kledij aantrekken en jawel..
