Help Me With A Novel

Need impressions of northern Salta province

Didn't pay attention to where I posted this before; it was in the South America section instead of here.

I'm writing a novel where the main character (Danny) travels to Argentina to rescue his daughter. She was kidnapped several years ago and eventually taken to the northern part of Salta province, to Tartagal.

Danny is going along with a church mission trip to the area; the leader of the trip doesn't know the real reason that Danny came along.

I need impressions of the north, and descriptions of the region. I have several questions about travel as well. I know there are regular flights from BA to Salta, but I'm wondering about travel from Salta to Tartagal.

I want to be able to write accurately about the country and the region, but Danny is only going to be there for a couple of weeks.

Suggestions? Comments? If you'd like to help, feel free to PM me for my email address.

Hi. I may have just the thing for you. My wife and I lived in Salta for several months and know the region. We just published a mystery novel set in the region, which should have all the background information you need at a very affordable price. The book, "The Empanada Affair" is available from Amazon as a Kindle E-book for $0.99. Go to www.amazon.com and search their book section for "empanada affair". Click on the picture or title to get to the page where you can buy the book and at the same time you can download a free Kindle reader application. The book has chapters that describe Salta, Cafyate, Jujuy, Purmamarca, Cachi, Humahuaca, and much of the rest of the region. You can also get descriptions of food, wine, and artisanal crafts from the novel.

Good luck. Reply to this
