Well I’m here!! Two ten hour flights with only a 2 hour stop in the middle, it was a long journey and, as I’m sure you can understand, I am completely shattered and want my bed…but I can’t check in for another 2 hours so hence why you’re all getting this update! As I write this its currently 10am Monday morning in Auckland, it’s windy and a bit drizzly outside, and my brain has no idea what’s going on! So I’ve only been here 2 hours yet I already have some New Zealand facts for y’all that personally I love, 1. People are not lying when they say the Kiwis are friendly! The passport control lady who had to check my visa etc was telling me that her friend owns a pub in Auckland and that ... read more

Hey guys, finally managed to drag myself into the internet cafe, even though i may have to leave early to watch the cricket, as unbelievable as it may sound, the pommies have made it through to the penultimate tri series fixture, with a game in hand, i'm really not sure how much more of this i can take. Anyway, you will no doubt recall, i left you last time with promises of Christmas adventures, of which we had a few. This was no doubt connected to the arrival of two friends Cheri and Louisa from Manchester, well actually Lou comes from Shaw, but i'm sure she wont mind been tarred with the mancunian brush, as we are similarly unconsciously obsessed with all things northern, John Shuttleworth included. I picked Lou and Cheri from the airport on ... read more

So, just thought I’d fill you in over my recent events November ended with the final day of Movember for which we all grew exceedingly ridiculous facial hair, it wasn’t long before mine had to go but I was to be kept entertained. I was pleased to have meet the arrival of two young ladies who I’d worked with in Manchester on the 6th of December, I met Lou and Cheri at the airport just after poor Cheri had been relieved of 200 dollars by the customs for attempting to illegally smuggle an orange into the country. The arrival had been preceded by a day of me running round Auckland trying to sort out medical assistance for Louisa who had contracted some Singaporean spider-bite-itous en-rout, but thank the lord the swelling went down and we ... read more

Hey Guys Well, I know ive been neglecting the blog, but its all been rather hectic since my last tales were bestowed upon those unfortunate enough to be able to access the internet. I think I had come back from Queenstown the last time I wrote, as a young man (well, relatively speaking), with a head full of dreams but with pockets full of holes i had been invigorated by the south island scenery, this was soon knocked out of me after a couple of weeks back in Auckland (or after several beer soaked leaving dos - I cant quite remember which came first), but I was soon to find myself in the thick of it once more. Two weekends after my Queenstown Adventure, it was the New Zealand Leg of the WRC (World Rally Championship ... read more
