It isnt going to go away that bridge it keeps smiling at us , while running this morning Philip finally cracks as he about to run under it, doubles back runs right up the steps to bridge level right over it, turns and comes back the other way. well if you can run 13 miles you can beat your Phobia off bridges finishing the run by dropping back down to circular quay runs up the opera house steps with Rocky blasting on his MP3 player. Jumping up and down at the top and shadow boxing while whooping and hollowing Philip nearly catches a japenease tourist with one of his upper cuts. good grief. Is there anybody left in Japan ? As the world is full of them travelling and taking pictures. We then set sail on ... read more

I was at home listening to my itunes which, was on ‘party shuffle.’ The washing machine had just finished and the pot on the stove started to rattle for the veggies were being steamed. As I walked to gather the iron to put it on the ironing board I heard Tools’ song Stinkfist. When I was a teenager this 90’s alternative metal song would be the precursor to an enthusiastic weights session that would eventually never develop to any rippled feature. Now whilst I put the iron on the board, turned the knob down on the stove I realised; ‘Shit I really should have done the washing earlier. These clothes are never going to dry in time. Why do I always do this?’ But as I opened yet another peg and put it on the line ... read more

'Frat House' American Style, Aussie Attitude. Total genial! Dort gabs nämlich Abercrombi und Hollister T-shirts für ... read more

(couldn’t resist this title - its being used on one of the radio stations to advertise an Easter sale and it did make me grin!) Woke up this morning, and looked out excitedly - most disappointed that the tent had actually lasted the whole night!! Ah well! Last night John managed to load all of our blog entries, so those of you that subscribe will feel overloaded the next time you log on, it was the excitement of getting WiFi access after a dearth of McDonalds! We were also hoping to be able to Skype, and went over early (for us) this morning to see if we could find anyone on line back in the UK, but no luck! Ah well, hopefully we’ll have access in the hotel in Cairns next week, so please do try ... read more

I'm staying with Letitia and Michael and their 2 kids in Epping, near Parramatta now. I haven't visited them in this house before, and its fantastic. They have a great big concrete very deep pool and everything! So between playing with Sasha and Leo, swimming, jogging, shopping, eating, and hanging out, we haven't had too much time to do anything else. It's been a great few lazy days, and I've loved having such a good visit here. ... read more

The scene was set for an almighty farewell party @ The Albion Hotel. There was more than one reason to party. Adam Ashton was also leaving for the UK, Cass and Renee were off to Hawai’i, Dave Alce’s birthday and of course, I was trying to down 80 beers in one sitting! We got down to the pub at 5pm because we knew that it was going to be a busy night. Dave was on the scene first and so was Amy. She had a housewarming that night but at least came down to say hello. Before too long the people were coming through thick and fast. Robbie showed up for an early visit as well, while Sandy was away at a hens night. At least by coming early we were able to have a bit ... read more

Lately. Hey all! Sorry that it's taken me so long to make a post... I suppose I have about a month and a half to update you on what the heck I've been up to. Here we go: On the 26th (of December), I headed back to Kingsford to join Jessie for some more celebrations. We had plans to go to the horseraces on the 26th, but when I got to Jessie's, I must admit, I didn't think that was going to be happening... Jessie was still feeling the effects of her xmas festivities the day before. However - a bit of time, water, and eventually champagne later, we were on our way to the races! Here, the horseraces are a pretty big deal and an occassion for everyone to dress up. The girls will ... read more

Parramatta, Australia - January 24th - 10:24pm Well today was a little hectic. I woke up to what I thought was an easy day, I was soon mistaken. But I did feel well rested as I got a good night sleep on the couch! It was still hot with the a/c going so I’m glad I wasn’t in my sauna room. So I got up and took it easy like I usually do. Things seemed to be going nicely, not that I really had anything to do but go into Parramatta to check out an apartment at 3pm. So I puttered around the place for a bit until I decided to get ready and walk to the train station. So I got on the bus and headed towards Parramatta, seems good so far, until. I got ... read more

Parramatta, Australia - January 17th - 1:00am I know it’s the 17th here but it was the 16th back home so I just want to send my thoughts to the Corbeil family on the year anniversary of losing a great aunt, sister, and daughter. I love you Aunt Therese. Today started out bright and early for me. I set my alarm for 6:50am and decided to change it till 7:00am after it went off. I was still completely tired when I got up but I didn’t have a choice so I had to get out of the nice warm bed. When I jumped out of bed I was very surprised to feel that it was cold. I jumped into the shower and didn’t want to get out. Because I choose to hit the snooze button and ... read more

Parramatta, Australia - January 15th - 1:30am Today was quiet interesting. I work up to 6 amazing emails in my inbox from people I asked to use as references. Funnily enough I think only one of those people read my blog, but regardless I’d like to thank everyone so much for the lovely emails. It means a lot to have so many people that want to help me out and see me succeed, even if they are jealous of my adventures. Thank-you Cara & Rob, Brian & Leslie, Kathy, Michele, John & Susan, and Mary-Ann. So I finished my application and went through the checklist one more time…not surprising to me (since everything seems to go wrong for me sometimes) but I realized that I needed a Senior First Aid Certificate. I knew I had a ... read more
