HEY EVERYONE!!! Sorry today this is gonna have to be short and sweet because there's quite a queue forming behind me (queue would be a line in canadian but its what all these fancy accent people call waiting...) Anyways...omg where to start...STeve may be the best host ever...i had a great time staying with him and he took very good care of me (Ryan he wouldn't let me call you the other night i'm sorry you missed out!) We went to bondi beach on sunday which was really nice/super ridiculously busy but there's something really fun about jumping around in pacific ocean waves.... Ok so the next morning (monday) after quite the evening of celebrating some more australia day-ness i got on the bus to Surfaris (my surf camp thing!) ...anyways....i use the term "bus" loosly ... read more

Happy Christmas from Australia Feet planted firmly on the board, I'm riding the wave into the beach! Finally! My previous wave ride in was 3 days ago and distinctly wobbly. This one felt good! I arrived at 'Surfari Central', near Kempsey/Crescent Head, on the Christmas Eve afternoon, after a long bus ride from Sydney (full of getting to know you conversations and some surf DVDs). We were out in the water by about 4pm, having had little time to unpack - well, what more did we need than 'bathers' and a board. A brief lesson and we spend most of the session paddling out - hard work! We've got a load to learn about the boards/ocean, but let's just get familiar! Christmas Day, after I've opened my present from Justine (thanks!), we go to Limeburners Creek ... read more

A little slow getting this update on here, and again not a lot to say since we have been doing a lot of the same. Sun, surf, sand and chilling. Which is just fine by us. Just fine. We chilled for a week at an amazing caravan park located right in front of a really good point break in Crescent Head, which is about an hour and half south of Coffs Harbour. You could actually poke your head out the door of the caravan in the morning and look at the surf from right there. It was great. The surf was really good the first couple days, and busy, then mellowed out a bit. Could easily stay a month or 2 here, so might come back in the New Year. Well it's finally happened - today is my last day in Sydney!! Whilst I've had a great 6 months here it's not for me in the long term so, figuring I should probably see something other than Sydney's CBD whilst I'm in the country, tomorrow morning I head off up to Cairns for a 3 week road trip down to Brisbane. After that who knows... at the moment I'm having trouble planning past tomorrow!! Anyway here's how my last month in Sydney panned out.... I'd hired a car with my flatmates for a few days over Easter in a bid to see some more of the local area... well, that and the fact that none of us had actually been organised enough to go away anywhere ;0) The first day was rather overcast and saw us ... read more

Hey everybody, just wanted to throw up some pics of all the good times and great people I met during my surf tour. We spent the whole week surfing and partying together. We were up at seven in the morn every day to go surf and we talked around the fire at night. At night we formed team competitions as to who was going to wash the dishes from dinner(thanks to all my teammates, i never washed any dishes!). We also got the chance to go race karting at the biggest cart track in the southern hemisphere (whatever that means, not sure its that special) and go to a surf museum. Cheers to my mojo mates! ... read more
