We did a drive through tour of Lexington City, passed Transylvania University on the way to the Bluegrass Airport War Museum, where Geoff took a personal guided tour, with a retired pilot. It was a very cold morning about 5c. Off to Pleasant Hill Shaker Museum, which is a complete Shaker township, we met the broom maker, the cooper, the shaker box maker and they all showed us their skills. Ready for another chronicle of adventures traipsing across the globe? We are! Tomorrow we head for Europe. Yeah, yeah we were in Paris just a few months ago but this time work is sending us to Poland for a week. Then since we will the there already and can't pass up the opportunity, we will take a week of vacation and whip through Budapest, Vienna and Prague. I apologize for the delay in my writing. After the loss of my camera and bike in September I was momentarily plunged into the shadow of a defeated mentality, and lost inspiration to write. We leave for new york. There are a few buses leaving at various times but i think we are going to take the one at 6:15. It's a 17 hour ride so we will arrive in new york city on sunday around noon. We are staying with mischa's dad for a few days in the east village and then taking a bus to cooperstown. We are thinking we will do that on wednesday. Mischa is now going with me to the farm in new york. The man who owns it wasn't sure how he felt about the both of us coming for a visit but after talking to both of us on the phone he seems to be ok with it. As of now we are aiming to leave by this weekend. I can't even be excited about it because every time we think we have everything done then it turns out we have 5 more things to do or wait on. So today is the first day this week I have had a chance to relax... being that all week even though I have not had a job I have had tons of errands to run in preparation for my travels. Added 414 miles to our trip...we were passing through West Virginia and entered Kentucky to visit our friends who moved away from Carper's Farm two years ago...the Lytle Family now in Louisville, Kentucky. Hogan was glad to get out and stretch his legs in the huge backyard. Emily and Nora were thrilled to have a "sleep over" with their friends Natalie and Isabel. What a nice stop on the way!!
