Hey all! It has been TIPPING with rain in Fiji for 2 days straight now so I’m getting time to catch up on photos and the like. In my first update of this trip I left you on my way from New York to Canada… NEW YORK, the USA to TORONTO, Canada – Tuesday 8th November 2011 At the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York I had a little wait before getting on the bus to Newark, which was surprisingly quick! I was not a fan of Newark airport, there is no space around the check in area (apparently they’ve just improved it!) so everyone queuing for flights were in the way of people trying to get through to their check in desk, not easy with loads of bags, as most people going on a ... read more

I woke up in the morning to find Mom had a hangover from 2 drinks. We visited with Connie a little while longer and eventually got to see her do some tricks with her horses. It was awesome, she could make them bow, salute, find their bellies, smile and - of course- show us a little Elvis. After eating a great chili and corn lunch, and taking a bunch of family pictures, we set off with Connie’s daughter Chantal towards Toronto. We parted ways at highway 401 and headed off towards our campsite, where we got to pretty late at night.... read more

Thought I'd update with a little review of my travels back to Canadia over Christmas. It was glorious! I was at the point where I really needed a little home comfort in my life. When I finally saw that "Welcome to Canada" sign after like 24 hours of travel, you cannot even know how much joy I felt. I ran up to the passport control dude and told him how happy I was to be home. He could barely get a word in edgewise! He asked if i had gifts and things and I told him no (even though I was gone four months) and he didnt even question me. I was so excited i didnt even want to waste time going through all the stuff I brought home for people (please dont arrest me Canadian ... read more

Dundurn Castle was derived from the architectural form of neoclassical and took three years to complete. It was completely finished in the year of 1835. It holds seventy-two rooms on a square footage of 1700 meters and features all the latest conveniences of gas, lighting & running water of which is seen in todays age of society!!! The City of Hamilton had purchased Dundurn Castle in the 1900s for a mere price of $50,000. The City has spent around $3 million in renovations, in order to renovate 42 rooms for showcasing within they're original state for the viewing eyes of the public. To begin with, there were 72 rooms around the time Sir Allan MacNap had purchased it. One will see that within all the rooms renovated that they have been restored to a more resonant ... read more

And with my return from the Carribean, leaving the resort kingdom behind and all its gluttonous glory. Saying fair thee well to comrades and family. I resided on the couch of Professor Tom Church doctorate of fun and fundamental funkiness. Taking in the streets of Hamilton one giant Steelco breath at a time. This week is derived from a necessity to relax, reform and readiness for a 3 month stint across the pond. Departure: Friday March 19th. Arriving early Saturday morn' in Paris. Where the whole of the country will impart its fanfare and shower me with vino rouge and enough cheese to kill a camel. Among the list of events to take place during this pilgrimage include: Prayer at Morrison's grave, Montmartre tours of all kinds, Rimbaud hullucinations, the louvre and of course bafoonary ... read more

Only a couple of days before we ship off. The last weekend was a string of antics goodbyes and memories made. Thanks to everyone we know and love for being so damn awesome! All that is left to do now is get our boxed up belongings to storage and finish packing our backpacks. This is all more than a bit weird for me; not sure whether to be happy or anxious or scared. I feel all of these emotions at the same time but i just need to accept there is little i can actually do to prepare myself other than be open and ready for a mind fuck. The next post will be from some dingy net cafe in mumbai and hopefully not from some dingy net cafe in the JFK airport having had our ... read more
