We had a bit of a sleep in before we all went in to the Walmart. Mom and I went in first to get some food and make-up which is way cheaper in the states. We also got all our school supplies here. Then we set off on the road again towards Cleveland, When we got there we had a quick lunch at Church’s chicken before setting back on the road towards Sturgis, Michigan. We ran out of driving time and Dad thought it was about time to stay in a campground so we drove out to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park. The actual campgrounds were full but they had a 2 service spot in the parking lot so we just stayed there, which was kind of nice because the campground was packed closely together. When Dad ... read more

We drove all day today. We went through the rest of Massachusettes into New York, New Jersey and eventually Pensylvania. We only stopped briefly at a tractor store for Dad to buy some shirts, and a bandana for himself in New Jersey, and also at a little vegetable place just off the highway. We continued driving until we reached a little Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant in Kestone, Pennsylvania where we all ate dinner before filling up and hitting the road again. We had a pretty late night and ended up all passsing out while Dad continued driving to another Walmart in Pittsburg. He saw the NHL arena as well as a tunnel that must have been 2 miles long and another one that was about 1 mile long !... read more

We got up to a poopy situation... and it took a while to get everything all cleaned up. Then we all set off on a walk to a huge mall in Boston. We started off in Macy’s (which is my new fave store). I bought 2 new shirts and a pair of boxer pajama shorts. Then we met up with Dad to see a japanese restaurant featuring a conveyor belt with sushi. Next we went to the Apple store to buy Shawn a brand new IPad . While Mom was sorting everything out there Dad, Shae and myself snuck out to get a quick bite from that sushi place. Then Dad joined Mom and Shae and I Went shopping some more. We went into Guess, Anthropology and the Levi store. We both bought some cute Levi ... read more

The morning brought more traveling and a quick stop at Covered Bridge chip factory. We bought 6 bags of chips and us kids went on a tour of the factory. It was kind of cool to see how the chips were made and we each got a small bag of hot chips right off the belt. They were absolutely to die for and we got to top them off with our favorite seasonings. Since they were sweet potato chips Shawn left his plain. Shaley put some cinamon sugar seasoning on hers, and I put a combination of blue raspberry and green apple on mine, which sounds a little weird but actually was great! After that we continued the drive until we reached the U.S boarder. When we got there the man was really nice and let ... read more

In the morning we woke up to see that Martin had a gorgeous property and a creek with a bridge his Dad built in the back. Dad was up way before me, so he had already been down to the brook and saw a trout in it. Afterwards, Shaley and I went on a walk to town and Shawn and Dad went fishing in the brook. While on our walk Shaley and I spotted the boat we were going on and took a quick walk on the ocean floor. When we got back, the guys were still fishing so we took a picture of Shawn. When everyone was ready we hopped in the truck and went up to Fundy National Park. Since it was rainy we just hit up the Gift Shop and went out for ... read more

We began our last day in Nova Scotia by getting breakfast at McDonald’s and Timmies. Then we stopped quickly to see the Windsor Mud Flats. Shortly after we went to see the Hopewell Rocks. The Hopewell rocks were crazy ! They were huge flower rocks that must were over 120 feet tall. We went down a giant staircase to walk on the sea floor. I pointed out the kelp to everyone and we took millions of pictures. We finished off by walking in the silky smooth, mud shrimp filled mud. Then we rinsed off and had to go back to the top because the tide was coming back in. After viewing the rocks we went and read about them in the interpretive center before we left to go horseback riding. On the trail ride we saw ... read more

This morning we head off to Liverpool to visit the Hank Snow museum. Dad let me drive out there. We stopped and visited there for a while and bought a t-shirt and some other goodies for Mom’s cousin Jim. -We saw some crazy outfits people of that time saw. After looking through the museum we continued on through an annoyingly curvy road Dad let me drive, to Digby on the bay of fundy. We went to a little biker store where Dad bought 2 t-shirts and one for Shawn for 20 dollars. Then we walked down to the little yaught club where we all had a quick water fight. We fnished Digby off with dinner on the pier, as suggested by Jim and Katie. I Had a Scallop Pasta with pesto sauce, Dad and Shawn both ... read more

We slept in a little before our tourist activities of the day. Then we drove over to our neighbors at Tim Horton’s and McDonald’s for breakfast. After that we drove down to Cole Harbour - Sidney Crosby’s hometown - to check it out. We saw his junior high and elementary school and stopped at the Tim Horton’s he played Timbits out of to use the toilets. When we were leaving I saw a man wearing a team Canada player’s hat and told Dad about him. Dad joked about him possibly being Crosby’s Dad, but he was wearing a Montreal jersey so I didn’t think it was possible. Then we continued our drive to Halifax. In Halifax we went to the pier and explored what there was there. We watched some kids breakdance in the streets and ... read more

We woke up and began our journey to Windsor, the city that makes our salt. When we arrived we found a campground with a waterslide and go-karts. Dad bought us 12 tickets to go on the slide. Shaley put the tickets down and somehow they went missing so we had to go and explain our dilemma to the lady running it and she kindly gave us 12 more. So us kids then went on the slide 4 times each. Then we went back to the trailer, Shaley and I then went out to play a bit of soccer for the first time during this trip. After playing, Mom had a steak dinner made so we went in to eat. After dinner Mom and Dad ditched us at the trailer to go -you guessed it- do laundry. ... read more

We woke up quite early to give us time to find a campground to park the trailer while we went to explore the picturesque Cabot trails for the day. After finding a nice one we dropped the trailer and took off towards Cape Breton Island. We stopped quickly at a information booth after going over the Canso Causeway, then continued down the road. Dad however took the wrong road so instead we took a back dirt road. We soon came up to a sign that said “bridge closed" but after testing it out we decided that it was pretty safe and if it did break it was only a foot and a half drop anyway, so we all got ready to go however, Mom wasn’t having any of it so she decided to get out and ... read more
