Times have changed -Now I am having the most wonderful time. I've been here for over a month, let me tell you it's been a rollercoaster ride. I have been to the pubs and clubs in London... Seen Big Ben, and Tate Modern, Winchester Cathedral etc... I have also been reading lots on my journeys (45mins) to-and-from Paddington from Didcot. This week the weather is amazing. Bright and sunny. I am trying to work on my tan, by sitting at the pool... ALSO I AM GOING TO GREECE AND SPAIN! isn't that exciting. ... read more

so yesterday, my shakespeare class technically lasted for 11 hours. We went to class at 1:15 and didn't get back from doing Shakespeare things till 12:15 am!!! yeah, crazy, I know. But Paricles was the best Shakespeare play I have ever scene. Maybe it was cuz I stood up right against the stage so there were actors flying over me as acrobats, people getting in fights right in front of me, actors going out on a platform right behind me. I have been so spoiled by this experience. Nothing will be done right now that I have seen this production of Pericles in the Globe Theater. I think the coolest thing of the show which I will document here was the ship wreck when Pericles is the only one to survive. They had a ship that ... read more

As so often happens when you are camping the moment we even thought about setting up our tent it started to teem from the heavens. So much for our sunny weekend in Oxford.... the English forecasters and the English weather had failed us again. Nevermind, we were here now and our friend from Adelaide who was here on business was picking us up to visit the nearby Blenheim Palace soon. It would be great to see him and catch up on all the news from home. Our first impression of Oxford as we walked through the city that morning was that it was very pretty but completely over run with large and loud groups of Spanish and American students, complete with matching backpacks or jumpers and not much consideration for anyone else sharing the streets. The ... read more

Before we hit beer o'clock on another Friday night in London I thought I would share a few thoughts and pics from the last couple of weeks. Since last we spoke I have farewelled another friend to good old Adelaide...Pete the Brit Museum wont be the same without you! We have survived several more attacks on the Tube, a shooting in Stockwell station and yesterdays police raids in my little suburb of tooting. The atmosphere is not too perky at the moment but as all good Brits (well token Brits) do they laugh it off and carry on. So carry on we do and any excuse to go on a mini break is taken up. Therefore the chance to drag a good mate Lorena around Oxford was a brill reason to make a break for it. ... read more

Arighty, so I'm in Oxford University at St. John's College. I think I'm finally figuring this whole Oxford in 39 parts thing... slowly, haha. This has been the first time I've gotten to a computer in a long time, it's a huge hassle to get on the internet with laptops (speaking of which, baccary, can you resend me your password with any capitalizations and do you have a security program like Norton or something?) Ok, anyways, sorry about that. Got to London on Thursday morning, met up with Seth at Buckingham Palace. Let's just say showing up at the Changing of the Guard on a Thursday afternoon looking for someone you don't know can be very interesting, haha. Walked around for a while, got a bite to eat and upon deciding he is not an axe ... read more

eh, they've pretty much gotten over it by now. Updates here: The phrase of the day today was "he sent another hare running" spoken by my Dickens teacher. He had a hard time translating it, but I think it means setting another thing to chase, another character, topic, something to try and follow. So yeah, that was a great one. My Shakespeare teacher started singing today and talking about penises and sex in The Tempest. He kicks Allen's class discussions on this play's ass. That is so bizarre that you woke up at 4:30 this morning. I got an email at around 10:00 from the school asking that I write back to say that I was ok, which I did. I sent Mary an email, but she doesn't check it but once every few days. I ... read more

aright, so my dad got upgraded to "business class" for our flight to New Zealand, so I'm being a lacky and mooching on his "Air New Zealand Lounge" rights. They have computers in here and I'm bored so I'm sending out emails. They've got a ton of free food in here too!!!! That's actually the first thing I notices when I came in. I like food. Anywho, there's a guy in here who looks EXACLTY like Schuttie except he has dark hair, he's wearing a fishing T-Shirt and he's playing video games on some portable device. So it's dorky Wha-Schuttie, how wonderful. Anywho, "Dancing with the Stars" is coming back on on the TV. I could get used to this whole airport lounge thing... :-P -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sendin' out a bunch of G'days, I'm in New Zealand ... read more

Well, my bags are packed (almost!) and I'm ready to go (with butterflies in my stomach), leaving on a jet plane at 2.30pm tomorrow! So excited and not sure what to expect. Will the Sargent Adventure Camp turned out to be Brat camp? Will the Director be more Sargent Major than Ronald McDonald? Well, for those of you who are interested I am heading to a tiny place in New Hampshire about 2hours north west of Boston in between two towns - Hancock and Peterborough. The camp is owned by Boston University and is set in about 800 acres of land with 24 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and all sorts of activities. There is even a small lake called Halfmoon Pond and a small river that runs through the land called the Nubanusit ... read more
