13 days and I'm leaving on a jet plane again This adventure is almost over. Six months overseas has been a brillant success. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Although it has had it's ups and downs; I think every jobs has its successes and failures. THat's life. Here I am once again, going back to reality in a sense.. Back to my real home. Christmas is coming. So home is where the heart is eh? To give the best highlights of my travels here it goes: *Greece-- MYKONOS and scuba diving on Paradise beach. Staying with a friend of mine and getting smashed off of yaga! Well last weekend I went to Bristol... saw the SS great britain woot woot.. and tooled around fort he rest of the day... I can;t begin to update this journal. I went to Rome it was fabulous.. Now Halloween is creeping up. I am heading into London to party hard with Diego and Compnay... Trying to figureo ut what I should be! if I should dress up at all... haha we'll see Anyways I wish I knew of a wicked club- I think I'll leave it to the boyz..... I couldn't get up with the fast pace of backpacking and updating this journal. I am now back in the Uk at work, and am getting around to updating it. Where to begin- I love the fact that I woke up everymorning in a new place. The feeling you get after you've conquered a city. The way the city evolves from day to night. Travelling for me is about learning. . It also gives you so much freedom for yourself. YOu do only as much as you want to do- If you miss something it's your own fault. Times have changed -Now I am having the most wonderful time. I've been here for over a month, let me tell you it's been a rollercoaster ride. I have been to the pubs and clubs in London... Seen Big Ben, and Tate Modern, Winchester Cathedral etc... I have also been reading lots on my journeys (45mins) to-and-from Paddington from Didcot. This week the weather is amazing. Bright and sunny. I am trying to work on my tan, by sitting at the pool... ALSO I AM GOING TO GREECE AND SPAIN! isn't that exciting. ... read more
WEll it is my 4th day in the UK.. and well my job is getting boring.. i walk dogs.. but i didnt think that i would only be getting the weekends off. WHich means i have to fit all my travelling into 3 days.. for my weekend excursions which is unfortunate. WEll on another note. I make 50 pounds a weeks, free room and board. Im living in a manor house with 17 bedrooms with a pool and hot tub.. a huge garden of 32 acres.. Soo I dont know what to do! Well TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Soon enough I'll be leaving on my jet plane. Its crazy to think about leaving everything and just packing up and going to a new country. The UK.. thats ssooo far. But I am excited. This adventure will be .. amazing! New people, new sights, new places, new culture!! I'l l survive!! I just think I will miss everything that has been a home to me soo that majority of my life so far. But I will make a new home, In Oxfordshire.. Anyways.. WOW WHAT AN AMAZING TRIP my love for travelling seems endless.. After spending 11 days in COSTA RICA and trekking well on a bus around the different provinces I learnt a lot about the people and history of this happy green country. Begining my trip in SAN JOSe we.. then left to see the POas VOlcano unfortuantely if was was to cloudy and the rain was pouring down that we weren't able to see it. So we headed up to Monteverde after passing through the arenal region.. where we took a boat ride. and saw the lava spitting from the Arenal volcano. Buying last minute things, trying to figure out exactly how HAWT its going to be in COSTA RICA! Made sure I had all my shots and vaccinations etc.. Got my HEP A shot today!! exciting eh? Also, got a prescription just in case I get some diarhea trouble!! I'm crossing my fingers that I don;t!! EEK! anyways.. going shopping at MEC this weekend, hopefully, I'll find some bargains. COSTA RICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW Soo doing my pre travel packing and shopping. I've figured Its pretty darn HOT there soo I better take clothes that will dry Fast. Soo I bought a nice lil 27 dollar dakine day backpack! its pretty nice. That I think was my fav. purchase. Anyways listening to some Damien Rice. ... read more
