Well, we are finaly off on our European Tour. We leave tomorrow at 6:30 in the morning. We already met four other people who are on the tour. Two girls from Vancouver, and then a couple from Tenassee. Yay! Micaela can't spell! Kehehe. Anyway, we are in London at the moment, and were just lounging about eating way too much. Okay... so Garret says he could eat like 10 times more.... He is just crazy cool like that. So yeah! Heading off tomorrow to go drink champagne under the Effle tower. Love you all! XOXOXOXOX -Hugs and love- We shall try our hardest to find another internet cafe soon. Caio! - Micaela and Garret... read more

Hey there to all... thought this would be a good way for you lot to keep a track of where i am and what crazy things are going on! so here goes my first entry... London... We arrived here after a VERY long 26hr plane flight Via Hong Kong and Helsinki... on the flight to hong kong our seats got mixed up so we were crammed into the middle seats... you can imagine how happy we were about that after being told we had a window and two isle seats, to add to that lovely news the seats we ended up in had monitors that didn't work, so the airline decided to compensate that with $100US in vouchers(very kind of them, or so we thought)... for cathay pacific, these were given to us after we got ... read more

After that weekend i had resighned myself to the reality that this was not only going to be a very tiering trip but an expensive one! the house that we were stying in was a steal at £5 a night to help lach and his housemates out with the bills. but the cost of living and public transport is quite high when living that close to the city... Anyway enough of that... we had a pretty quiet monday to recover from the weekend so not much to tell there, we went out of a quiet dinner to say goodbye to haydee... tuesday the four of us caught a double decker into london to the brittish museum, this museum puts any other i've ever seen to shame. the bus took us a about an hour to get ... read more

Back into the London life now just after a month has ticket past.. Got a great place to live in which is close to the city centre, the suburb is called Acton and on the bike it is 15 minutes to the centre of town so quite good. Yeah have the bike again and having near death experiences all the time once again. Na it is good fun cruising around the streets and having a look at the place, much better than travelling on the underground I think anyway. The people that I am living with are from all over the world, one Turkish (chef who likes to cook at home and cooks too much, good for me), Italian and two Cambodians so an international house it is. I have seen the girls from Cambodia twice, ... read more

Well we’ve now been in London for 2 ½ weeks so I’m guessing you’re all dying to know how its all going, right? Right? Well here is the lowdown. We arrived at Kings Cross on Friday night a few weeks ago after the 2 weeks in Edinburgh. As soon as we hopped off the train I had a lady from one of my agencies on the phone with news of a job interview at the beginning of the next week. Excellent. It was for a Planning Enforcement Officer at Wandsworth Council, an Inner London Borough. Buoyed by this news we headed off to our backpackers for a good nights sleep ahead of a big day flat hunting the next morning. Incidentally, if anyone is looking for a good backpackers in London, I recommend Globetrotters. It’s a ... read more

well, i'm drunk in london. the birthday week has been a fascinating 24hours so far anyway, fun times. myself, bean, ash, pete, ami and crazy mike went out last night for a 'quiet drink', and had a fantastic night, so the term quiet drink is probably very wrong. well, so wrong that i missed my coach this morning. i awoke, looked at the clock which said 9am, and said to myself, 'nah, thats never the time'. but yes, it was. lame. so i ended up getting a £40 train to london instead of my £4 coach. the definition of lame my friends. anyway, got to london, and of course, first thing i do, straight to camden for some camden chicken. and i know i big it up quite alot, but wow, so much better than i ... read more

I'm probably choosing to write this blog at one of my more unstable points of my journey..I'm not neccessarily saying that this makes for more interseting reading however.. As some of you may have realised from emails or updates on facebook, my circumstances have been a little up in the air of late.. Ive just gotten back from an amazing three weeks away in Spain and Portugal and have now come back to London about £800 less in my bank account.. (NOT entirely sure how i managed to spend that much.. this however isnt even taking my credit card into account either. ), homeless.. and unemployed... Mmm..I might go back a little I guess... So, the last thing that I think left u all with was the fact that my friend Blondie, ( i think most ... read more

LDN! So the blog has finally arrived! The build-up has been as long and exciting as for the recent Harry Potter book, but nobody dies in my story!! A long time ago, in a distant galaxy, I returned from Ireland. Arriving back at Barbara's I planned on a life spent on the couch - unfortunately it was not to be mine!! As I had to go into LDN on the 17th of July for vaccinations (everytime I went in for some reason they didn't give them to me - but this would be the third time lucky) I arranged to have a look at some properties when I went in. I also had to deal with the demon-lady from HR who kept messing up my references. I don't want to dwell on this part as I ... read more

An early start to the day, heading out to London Transport’s Acton Depot, storehouse for many items. Open only 3-4 times a year, we trooped into the meeting room for discussions - covering the publisher’s expectations, what each of us was contributing towards the book, and the archival material available at the London Transport Museum and Transport for London archives. Before lunch we had a tour of the Depot, with a huge number of vehicles. I was slightly freaked out by catching sight of some ghostly figures, and then realised that they were the ‘dummies’, wrapped in bubble wrap - awaiting their return to the Museum when it re-opens in November. A curious collection of items, some unexpected, and obviously a lot of large items - including a specimen url=http:... read more
