Thursday morning I had slept well until a rooster woke me at 2:30 am. I did go back to sleep and was up and moving by 7am. I rented a bicycle and planned to pedal along the caribbean coast road to the village of Manzanillo. The road was completely dirt up to about 5 years ago. Now there are some nicely paved areas, some areas with potholes and areas where the road totally falls away to gravel. Remember my friend from the bus? Die letzte Woche unserer Reise wollen wir gemütlich in der Karibik verbingen, am Strand chillen, uns von den Strapazen der letzten Wochen erholen, schnorcheln und nochmal ordentlich Bräune tanken, bevor wir in den österreichischen Winter zurückkehren... Leider hat uns hier (wie schon einigemale in der Karibik!!!) das Wetter einen ordentlichen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht... It was great to finally get to our house in Manzanillo. After some of the stress that we had dealing with San Jose, this seemed to be a world away. La Patita was just about a mile north of Manzanillo and a 15 minute drive from Puerto Viejo. After settling in, we drove to Manzanillo to eat at Maxis. The food was wonderful! It was great to have some really good seafood. The resturant was right on the water, and at the end of the road(literally). Limón, una tierra multicolor, de calor humano y una gran belleza, la semana pasada mi esposa Marielos y un servidor, decidimos tomarnos unas vacaciones y visitar a unos buenos amigos, Tito y Maty, ellos viven en Manzanillo uno de los pocos paraísos que aún no han sido infectados, por los Grandes Inversionistas y sus proyectos de gran envergadura.
