My friends and I are traveling to the Puerto Viejo area in May. We are looking at several types of accommodations: vacation homes, cottages, lodges, bungalows, ect. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of where to stay, what are the pros and cons of each type of accommodations. I would appreciate any type of input, since my friends and I have become a little overwhelmed at all the possible choices we have to chose from. Reply to this

Banana Azul is a great place, highly recommended. Gay friendly, but not an all-gay place. No kids allowed. I think they have a pool now too. There is also a rental cottage (in punta uvita) called Caracol Azul which is supposed to be nice, that you might want to check out. Reply to this
