Well let it be known that here be the final install for Pauly Wauly and Natalie Watalie's year of adverntures! (No no! We don't want any tears.....and we do realise that the suicide attempts may begin soon so we thought we would give you one last travelblog fix!!!!!) Well after our travels you all know I (Pipesy) went off to France...well I couldn't stay away for long. Back I travelled and Pauly and I were once again reunited (it felt like I hadn't seen him for about six years!) After a bit of reminiscing around the city of Brighton (and a bit of re-catching my bearings......"So....Western Road.....erm......where's that again?") we had the first of our reunions with Tessa and Georgie-of Thailand fame-and Alex aka Sinaed O Connor's mum (Long, strange, non-sensical story that involves Alex, Sinaed ... read more

Hello everyone! I guess you thought you wouldn't be getting another one of these!!!!! Oh ye's of little faith!!! I am still very much the traveller!!! Ok so we had an emotional final day in Cape Town (at least I think as I don't really remember it too well!!) then were woken up by our airport shuttle driver as we had managed to sleep through about 3alarms!! Amazing how that can happen after a night on the tiles!! We had the worst day of waiting in airports in the WORLD!!! Finally we touched down at Heathrow where I stayed for...ooh about 20minutes! Just enough time to get my stuff together and peel myself away from my other half (meaning Paul of course....I didn't manage to marry myself off sadly!!) and then it was off to Gatwick! ... read more

Ok so here we are on our very last day of travelling!!!!!! Feels pretty weird but since we are nursing a pretty bad hangover (more about that later!) we are numb to it!!!! Denial seems to be working pretty well too!!!!! So.......we landed in Johannesburg and then after a minor money crisis we bought our flight to Cape Town. Having not much money at all we spent the first few days "getting our bearings" as we called it........just our excuse for not being able to afford a safari!!!! But amazingly, as always, even though we had no money we still decided to get very dunk! And drunk we got!!! It wasn't until the next day when we went into an internet cafe and the lady laughed in our faces that we realised how very drunk that ... read more

Well we left you last time, our friends were just about to arrive, and we cant quite believe that they have all gone already... but what a time we had. Natalie and I met up with Tess and Georgie in Koh Samet, we were soooo excited the night before that we got a bit tidly and spent the day they arrived feeling a bit worse for wear. Spending the larger part of the night fully clothed in the sea and adopting some new Thai friends for the evening. However, we didnt let such self-induced illness put us off the next night, where we continued in much the same manner. Being a bit out of practice... Tess and Georgie had to endure our ridiculous behaviour... (a lot more clothed swimming!!.. will we ever learn??) After four nights ... read more

Hello everyone!!!! Well as we ended the previous travelblog we had just arrived in Phnom Penh (difficult to say...easy to write though!) Our first night involved some re-introduction to the drink and alot of squelching around through the mud (it had been raining incessantly throughout our journey!) Pauly and I found this quite satisfying but we seemed to be on a bus with the most dull travellers known to man, and even woman!!!! So, very muddy, we began our evening of cards and drink! We met a little gay man called Biggie who we taught 'Snap' to. The following morning as we were changing hotels we met two matorbike taxi drivers who succesfully did the 'hard-sell' on us to take us out for the day. First stop was the 'Killing Fields'-if anyone has seen the John ... read more

To Pete's Mum!! Where is Pete and yes if we find him we will buy him a drink...haha!! Thankyou for reading!! We arrived in Luang Prabang and were quickly shipped off by tuk-tuk to Houang Xi Waterfall, which was pretty spectacular and wet! Made up of a series of lagoons and waterfalls which we climbed to the top of(ignoring the 'Danger' signs) and Natalie naturally fell in!! Then came the modeling shots in the waterfall.... what posers!! Next, followed by far the longest and most tedious journey to date.... 12 hours it was claimed but alas this was not the case, overcrowded, street vendors boarding the bus, no reclining seats, non-stop wing-wong music... 19 hours later we arrived in Xam Nua a bit delirious! Then we embarked on the next 12 hour journey.... need i say ... read more

First of all this email is dedicated to our 4 sole readers.... Alex jackson, Pauline and David Hutchings and Hayley Wayley Brown! Thanks for your messages-this one's for you (it's a little dull! be prepared!) Ok...so having had our fill of elephants....we planned to move on the next day. We grabbed our stuff and headed off to Doi Suthep-a mountain that frames Chang Mai. Whilst up there we visited yet another temple (with a long name!). Legend has it that Buddha employed a white elephant to walk carrying a religious relic until he found a suitable place to build a temple....this is where he chose!!! Then he died! Aaahhh! And now we know why he died....the stairs are endless!! The views were pretty spectacular over Chang Mai-better when it's not cloudy I imagine! That evening we ... read more

Hey guys... its us again!!! Never before have you had so many travelblogs in succession!! We just had to do one after the day we just had!! But first, to keep you up to date.... So after another long coach journey up to Bangkok (which was horrific and by far the longest!!) we wandered about the town, well the small part we could actually manage, and did a bit of shopping. Then that evening, we took a very cheap tuk-tuk (motor taxi/ scooter thing!!) to Pat Pong to see a night market (just for a change!!...lol) and were constantly asked if we wanted to see a 'ping-pong' show!! Those of you who know might be more interested by the fact that there was a banana show!!! And those of you who dont are better off not ... read more

Hello people!!!! Well we certainly covered alot of ground since the last entry!!! (Sounds weird as you only just got the last couple of entries-let's just say we've been a bit slack!). Anyway after a sad departure from the 'land down under' we touched down in Singapore. What a culture shock! We hit a touch of luck (shock horror!!!) Before even leaving the airport we'd managed to get a offered a nice cheap hostel and...a free meal! Fortunately for us we arrived right in the centre of the Singapore food festival and they were literally giving food away! So next day we found our way to a very posh riverside restaurant and were served our free meal. (Don't think they were too impressed by us not buying expensive cocktails and after dinner drinks to up our ... read more

Well hello again!!! Piper here! Well we moved on-we left Melbourne. I have to say it was actually pretty sad to go. We had to move on though due to a slight visa problem-which was actually pretty funny! But sadly this meant leaving a bit earlier thus earning a little less than planned and having to cut our year a tad shorter. I met some great people in Melbourne TGIs who I hope to stay in contact with for the future. My favourites being Wayno, Casey, Aimee, Hayley, Dexter, Tim, Natalia, Peter, Kim and Tom (love you guys!!!!) I actually found myself quite sad to finish work as well. I guess when you haven't done much of it all year it becomes something of a novelty!!! Had some great leaving dos (note the plural, what attention ... read more
