Scared??
Well we left you last time, our friends were just about to arrive, and we cant quite believe that they have all gone already... but what a time we had. Natalie and I met up with Tess and Georgie in Koh Samet, we were soooo excited the night before that we got a bit tidly and spent the day they arrived feeling a bit worse for wear. Spending the larger part of the night fully clothed in the sea and adopting some new Thai friends for the evening. However, we didnt let such self-induced illness put us off the next night, where we continued in much the same manner. Being a bit out of practice... Tess and Georgie had to endure our ridiculous behaviour... (a lot more clothed swimming!!.. will we ever learn??)

After four nights of catching up we left for Bangkok .. or should we say... Krungthepmahanakhornbowornrattanakosinmahintarayuthayamahadilokpopnopparatratchathaniburiromudomratchaniwetmahasathan.. as its more commonly known (.. a mere 117 letters for its correct Thai name) and adopted a new puppy dog of seven days old... almost impossible to say goodbye but i was soon amused by the worlds smallest banana and was able to part with the dog. Hence began the

Nat and our Thai friends... note how wet Nat is!!
most hungover bus journey of all time, but arriving in Khao Sarn Road was a huge relief... and we hit the market stalls HARD!! Buying and haggling for clothes dirt cheap.. except for one psycho Thai lady who told Nat to "get out of her shop" after some heated words passed their lips... interesting comment given that it was a road stall... so Nat left the road!! Following this was illness for all... one by one we dropped like flies. Then we had to part company whilst I waited for Al to arrive from England. Here's my story:

My GOD what a welcome that was... forget the Carlton, we have the Shangri-La Hotel... Al's Dad sorted out for us to stay in the Horizon club suite on the 24th floor... with the most stunning view of the Chao Phraya River. First indulgence was a two and a half hour massage in the most stunning room ever, overflowing bath with petals in, body peel and massage as well as getting to choose all the scents and music.. it was amazing... all for a meager 120 pounds. We then went to Khao Sarn Road for drinks and catch up!! So nice

Our friends are here!!! YAY!!
to see Al again so we had loads to talk about. After mooching by the pool we went for an AMAZING Thai meal at the hotel on the riverside and then headed for the Thai boxing fight (Fight Club fights!).. not really my cup of tea but was all a part of the experience... and the vibe was great but the fighting was a bit too mental for my liking!! After this we flew to Koh Samui in search of the others at Koh Pha Ngan and ended up spending a night in Coconut beach in the North... it was lovely beaches and we met a couple of really nice people there... Irish so you can imagine the night!! Then I headed down South to meet the girlies in Ban Khai...

Meanwhile.....

(Hey hey everyone..Piper here.....here's what I did!!!!)

Ok so as Pauly said we left him in Bangkok and headed down to Koh Samui for a couple of days. (Felt a bit bad leaving a poorly Pauly). It was then that Tessa started to get ill so the journey wasn't the best for her...mind you it's not the greatest journey at the best of times..and these long 14 hour bus journeys never run smooth. The bus broke down midway and we had to change - grrrrrr!!! Finally we arrived at Lamai beach and checked into our little bungalow where Tessa remained for most of the three days, bless her! Me and Georgie made the most of the gorgeous weather....and the local marine life! We popped into the sea for a quick dip and suddenly all these fish surrounded us and I was calming down Georgie saying that they wouldn't hurt us when one of the buggars bit a chunk in my arm!!!!! Actually drew blood!! Like the girls we are we ran screaming out of the water clutching each other and in full view of the bemused sunbathers!!!
Georgie and I had a couple of nights out in Chaweng centre.....my good grief it's tacky! We had one particular great night! We were smashed!!!!! Having shaken off these strange Essex guys ("I'm not from Essex I'm from Chingford" erm...isn't that Essex? "nah!" what's your postcode then "E" erm.............!!!!!!) we then stole the show on the dance floor at Green Mango bar...not too difficult as we were the only ones in there! Drunkenly we spent an awful lot
Drinks Drinks Drinks

Nat, Paul, Tess, Georgie.. on a quieter evening!!
of time playing pool with a drunk thai man...well, Georgie was playing..I don't actually think I hit a ball the whole game...was having difficulty seeing by this time! After sitting outside the Seven Eleven for about an hour while Georgie repeatedly lost her bets at Connect 4 with some local kids we decided to end our night! Somehow we managed to bag a lift off the local law enforcement to a nearby restaurant where Georgie and I spent alot of time getting snaps of us trying to snog a fish!!!!! (Sorry for that photo Georgie...it had to be done!) On the way home by moto taxi I managed to lose a flipflop. So I went to retrieve it....while we were still moving!!! I overturned the whole bike and we all ended up in a heap on the floor..amazingly unscathed!!!!! I must say I did feel sorry for the poorly Tessa having to put up with our boozy return!!!!!

After a couple of days we travelled to Koh Pha Ngan to meet the other two in preparation for the much anticipated Full Moon Party! Have to say, me and Paul were somewhat anxious about being surrounded by 15,000 people....we hadn't

"Kiss me kiss me!!"
seen many people besides us two for about 2 months!!!!! Thankfully it was amazing!!!!! A real crazy atmosphere! Mind you I think me and Paul were the only two sad cases actually commenting on how beautiful the moon looked...... (maybe I am turning into an ethnic braided hippy after all Alex!) We sat outside a Drum n Bass bar (called the Orchid funnily enough all you Croydoners!!!) and met up with a couple of Georgie's friends Kermi and Billy but were shortly literally thrown out by the most Psychotic Thai Man owner who went insane cos we hadn't bought our drinks with him!!!! Was pretty hilarious since later there was about 500 people who were probably having trouble remembering their name let alone if they were in the same bar that they purchased their drink from! Nevertheless..all things happen for a reason and it lead to me meeting an amazing guy! Pete was with his mates and took to dancing on one of the tables.....uh-oh! very soon he joined us club rejects after going head to head with said Psycho! We hit it off in a big way....he was pretty gorgeous too, that probably helped!!!.....and I spent most of the

Ooooh!!
night with him (we all ended up getting split up, Tessa and Georgie vanished and Paul went to meet Al..who I finally got to meet!!!!!! yay!!!) Pete later informed me that he wasn't infact 23, like he said, but 20!!!! Why are my men getting younger as I get older!!!! I'm becoming Mrs Robinson!!!! Anyway he lives in Brussels working for the BBC (ooh!) as a political ...erm......thingy (sorry I forgot the actual thing you do Pete!) Whatever it was I was pretty impressed...not as much as he was with my amazing Geography as I tried to ascertain where in the world Belgium was!!! I may well be making a little trip over to Belgium for a visit with my new toyboy!!!! (I since worked out that in the celebrity world it seems he is actually too old for me since Eva Longoria 's bloke is 7 years younger and Jade Goody's is 6 years younger.) Had a great night thanks Pete....make sure you send those photos.

Right... back to me.. Paul... wow that was long!!! I will be more concise i promise!! My side of the full moon party is alot shorter, mainly cause i dont remember it... vaguely remember setting off a hot air balloon thing for some reason and falling into a cesspit by the toilets... very embarassing and smelly too. Other than that, there was a lot of bucket drinking and falling about, plus the psycho man who threw us out of his bar earlier on in the night for no particular reason!! Ended up at home about 8 am, leaving the party going strong, to find a very drunken Tessa asleep on my doorstep having lost her phone, bag and wallet and shoes... oh dear!! Not me for once though!! Then we had a very drunken Georgie arrive later on covered from head to toe in sand... hmmm!!! See photo!! Ok thats that!!

Koh Pha Ngan saw the end of Tess and Georgie in Thailand... boooo!! And they set off leaving me Nat and Al to fend for ourselves... the next few days was just chilling on the beach, well for the girls anyways, but the stupid malaria tablets made me super-sensitive to the sun so i had to seek the shade the whole time!!! As if i didnt go red enough as it is!!! Then Al had to catch her flight to

The seven day old elephant we adopted and teh smallest banana in the WORLD!!
go trekking in Chang Mai so a sad goodbye left me and Nat all alone again!! But with the addition of our plush new suits and dresses.

On recommendaion from just about everyone, we headed to Krabi and "the most beautiful beaches in Thailand"... hmm well rocks and mud wasnt really our idea of paradise.. but hey!! We tried to get around the island to the cheap backpackers but after falling over and (i think) breaking a toe we opted for the safety of the main beach... a room fully equiped with friendly mouse... which we discovered at x o'clock in the morning whilst hugging each other and screaming on the bed!! So loud that all the locals came out to see what the fuss was about. After this adrenaline fuelled saga we headed for our new, mouse-less, room in the roof... albeit this room had the addition of about a million spiders and the roof acted like a amplifier for the rain outside, we thought someone had fallen through the roof at one point but rationale told us it was probabioly just a coconut... THEN when we thought nothing could get worse, a drunken Irish man started screaming

Nat and Georgies night of debauchary complete with Essex boys and the snogging of a fish!!!!
out "aaaul... AAAUL" Which got me terrified that someone was after me... That saw about one hours sleep that night before we had to embark on our 28 hour journey to Singapore (three countires...one day!!). What fun that was.... we had screaming kids, boats, buses, taxis, then some crazy Malaysian guy with a one tracked mind who insisted on telling us all his fantasies... very strange... Nat managed to escape to sleep leaving me with him... Thanks Nat....lol!!! Mind you.. according to him, she has to marry him so i think i got the better deal!! So that brings us to now... Last night in Asia has been and gone and it went in true Natalie and Paul style (aka 16 beers and 2 bottles of whisky!!! - and no, not just for us, shared with some new friends, Clovis and Anna) And now we are just about to fly to Africa!! Last leg of the trip!! Argh!!!!

So to all those that dont know... welcome home party is on the 6th October in Brighton's 'The Hampton' pub of Western road at 7pm, so all be there for fun and games!!!!!!! There will be another few blogs yet so

"Jealous anyone??"
hold back those tears for now, and when we get back.. dont dismay... the theme for the party is... dress like Paul or Nat... or both?? Up to you!! Just testing how much you all remember us!!!

Ciao for NOW!!!

landed in da states
Well my beautiful people, thats it , i have finally landed in the states (minneapolis to be precise) and one thing has to be said>>>EVERYTHING IS FREAKING MASSIVE!!!! not just the people as i believed originally...but the roads, the cars, the buildings, and dont get me started on the "medium" latte which comes in a small bucket at a mere $3. been a long and dull flight, only spiced up by the movie "nacho libre" which i strongly recommend ...although had a tiny bit of bother at immigration , but a dumb smile and a ferm "yes sir, no sir, what do you mean by that sir?" will get you pretty much anywhere in this country....lucky for me, i didnt look forward to another 81/2 hours flight back to paris. So here start the adventure, and i do mean adventure seen as i only had $100 in my pocket, (which has now gone down to $70 in one night out....god i hate tipping) so it is a bit out of my comfort zone, but hell...in france we have no money, but plenty of charms and ideas... saddened to hear you will be back only a few weeks after i've left...and i will miss the party, especially now i know the theme of the event (i guess i'll have to wear my nathalie outfit here for good measure!!!) loadsa french sticky love to you two world travellers xxxxd
