So it’s now been two weeks in java and we have visited a variety of places and the one remaining factor is still that Indonesian people are so nice in each place we have been to. We have been to some fantastic place in java the first was a town called bondowoso where we got transport to the ijen sulphur volcano. We started early and the trek was very difficult and we didn’t get to see much because the weather was not great but the experience was good taking local transport and getting to see the guy’s working at the volcano carrying sulphur which is really heavy, I don’t know how they carry that down everyday. Bondowoso was a quiet town that was not used to tourist they where bemused when they saw us in a ... read more

Hello again since the last blog we are back on the right track and having a great time. We left bali to go to Lombok and Gili Trawangan island. We spent two days on the mainland before going to the islands, Lombok is not as touristy as bali but I feel it will grow as it is an amazing and beautiful place and they have just opened an international airport on the mainland. The two days where spent chilling out and organizing transport to the island. I came across this really good surf spot where I watched the locals surf like it was the easiest thing in the world to do. One kid I got a picture of was about 10 years old and so small but he was out their surfing some massive waves. I ... read more

hello as i am writing this believe it or not i am back in Bali and i have swapped my Auz book for a Indonesia one. We went to Australia with good intentions of finding work and having some good times their, but the country was so expensive that while we where looking for work the money i worked so hard to save for was being eaten away on just the basic living cost. their was no work available even fruit picking because the harvest had been effected by fire's and floods and to travel to the next destination cost a lot because the country is so big. their are no pictures because my days where just spent on the net in job clubs trying to find work. whilst this was going on i was ... read more

Hello so it’s my last day in Bali now and I and mika feel sad to be leaving Asia for the western world of Australia. I like the lack of rule’s, regulations, and risk assessments here in Asia and the use more of just common sense. So Bali, I was here on holiday 7 years ago just before the bomb and had a fantastic holiday. So I was sad to here about the bombing and the future of tourism in Bali but since being here now I can safely say that Bali and the people have moved on and it is a great place to go for a holiday or to backpack. I didn’t get many photos in Bali as I have spent all my time surfing and partying. I walked along the beach and picked ... read more

I will start from where I left you all last time which was the border run to Burma which was a very long night and day. Just mattresses on the floor and loads of people just lead down where they could find a space. After load’s of travelling we spent all of ten minuets in Burma to then go back to Thailand for an extra 15 day’s, the 10 minuets ... read more

Hello arrived in Luang Prabang after a six hour bus journey from vang vieng. Luang Prabang was perfect for what we wanted to do, we just wanted to take things slow, relax and do some sight seeing after lots of partying in vang vieng. We spent a good week in Luang prabang because we met some good friends and just really enjoyed being their, the food was really good especially at the night market where we eat a few times for very cheap with a good atmosphere and great food. We also discovered a Scandinavian bakery where we treated ourselves to many baked goods, I might have mentioned to some of you all ready the bread and butter pudding they also produced a fantastic breakfast bap.
