My goodness - you won't believe where I am now! I am being displayed in the lobby of Australia's only six star hotel, the ritzy glitzy Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast. I have been on display here since last Friday and I go up for auction this Friday! To say I am scared witless with nerves would be a major understatement!!! Having said that, while it was very sad to say farewell to Auntie Lynn after the long journey we've shared together, and while I miss her very much, I must say I look and feel very at home in this glorious hotel. It was a big moment last night - the final hoorah for my historic journey before I’m auctioned. Among the invited guests was Sandy Tomlinson who designed both “Auntie Lynn’s dress of many Magical Scarecrows” and… me! Auntie Lynn screened the DVD that has been produced of The Magical Scarecrows LET’S MAKE MAGIC FOR A DAY event this year at Dreamworld. Watch out for that as it will be commercially available through The Magical Scarecrows website soon. Everyone in attendance also received a special vintage bottle of champagne with the strictly limited edition label “Journey’s End”, featuring snaps of some of the biggest celebs to have signed me. I am now in the hands of another truly beautiful soul, Virginia McKenna, who starred as Joy Adamson in the immortal classic “Born Free”.
