Africa » Morocco » Grand Casablanca » Casablanca September 6th 2010

Hey folks, I wrote this blog four days ago I am writing this blog from Sevilla. I just bought two tickets for tomorrows Corida and Chloe thinks I am a bit too excited. The last week was another great one, during which we visited the remains of a great Roman castle, dare to swim in the Costa del sol, watch at sunset one of the world most majestic building, the Alhambra and flew to Africa for the first time in the last five years, the very first time for Chloe, to visit the city of Casablanca. The last time I wrote a blog, we were about to leave on our very first night train to Granada. However, things did not work like we wanted them to work. The train was delayed for three hours because they ... read more

Europe » Spain » Valencian Community » Valencia August 27th 2010

Hey folks, Saying that the last 10 days were not crazy is a huge mistake. In the last week ish, we watch one of the greatest football team destroy Seville fc, we spent a night in a car in the smallest town I have ever visited in Europe, took part in one of the world best festival, got drunk for almost nothing on La Rambla and had an amazing time with Chloes mother and her aunt, all that in the hot, sunny and humid Spain. We arrive in Spain via Port Bou after almost 15 hours of train in five different trains. Early the next morning we walk to the Sagrada Famillia where we met Chloes mom and aunt. We decide not to visit the world biggest unfinished exposition again this year and head directly to ... read more

Europe » France » Île-de-France » Paris August 18th 2010

This blog was written three days ago. Pour les commentaires de Chloe voir la fin du blog We are now in France. Again this year, I really do not know what to think about this country. We spent splendid nights and some horrible days. However, I have to admit, Paris is still one of the pretties city in the world. We cut our trip to Belgium short because we heard bad news concerning the guy we were supposed to stay at and did not feel it was right to ask him anything in those circumstances. Hopefully, we met two really nice French guy in Dublin who offer us their couch for two nights. We slept at Guillaume and Nadege apartments and it was so good to have a bed and a quiet place to sleep after ... read more

Europe » Belgium » Brussels-Capital Region » Brussels August 6th 2010

Hey folks, The last two weeks were nothing, but fascinating and I really don't know where to start things up. It is amazing how a city can be so different and so close. We fell in love with Brugge medieval architecture and adore the very laid-back atmosphere surrounding Amsterdam. We didn't like ugly Brussels and boring Rotterdam. After a very boring train ride from Berlin to Amsterdam. We check in the famous Flying Pig Downtown hostel. The hostel is located meters away from the Red Light district and have a unique party atmosphere, probably due to there hip bar and two smoking rooms. We only had two days in Amsterdam this year and try to make things a bit different, at least do things we didn't do last year. We did not visit any museum or ... read more

Europe August 4th 2010

Ca prend ... read more

Europe » Germany » Berlin » Berlin July 28th 2010

Hey folks, We just spent the last week in Northern Germany. Again, it has been a fantastic week and I am leaving the country with a lot of reason why to come back. Hopefully we will have time to spend a least two weeks here after the Oktoberfest. Our first destination was Hamburg. The train rides from Copenhagen to Hambourg was amazing. After an hour or so of train, the train goes in a small ferry and you cross the border in a ferry. There is only five trains that goes on water in Europe. We spent our first day in Germany in a small cafe where you can sample great German beer and do your laundry at the same time. In the evening we want to the Japanesse garden to watch the 30 minutes ... read more

Europe » Denmark » Region Hovedstaden » Copenhagen July 22nd 2010

Hey folks, We are living Denmark in seven hours. I am writing this blog at the reception in the middle of the night. This hostel is awful. The staff is doing nothing, but drinking their life out with the guess and I wont even get started with our 66 beds dorm. Copenhagen is lovely. We just spent four days walking around the many different neighborhoods. Copenhagen is a unique place. Many reviewers described the city as the Amsterdam of the North. However, Copenhagen only have five or six canals. Even though, a canal ride late at night is still a great experience. The Old port famous colored houses is a most see. It is too bad the little mermaid was not at is usual spot. She is currently at the world expo in Shanghai. They put ... read more

Europe » Sweden » Västra Götaland County » Gothenburg July 18th 2010

Hey folks, We are now in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tomorrow we are going to our last Scandinavian destination, Copenhagen. I am looking forward to Denmark. I heard fantastic things about this country. I dont really know where to start. Sweden was a very unbalance experience. I love Stockholm and hate it a lot sometimes. Stockholm old city will charm you and a boat ride to the archipelago is a fun experience. However, as much as watching the sun go down after midnight is a great experience, Stockholm was annoying at time. I really dont want to pis someone off, almost everybody we met in Sweden were great and a lot nicer to us that we expect, but Scandinavia is not a backpacking destination. Most of the people we met here were hikers or European on a ... read more

Europe » Norway » Eastern Norway » Oslo July 15th 2010

Hey folks, I am writing this blog from Stockholm. We are a bit late, I know. Things are so expensive over here. We had to walk the entire city to find a library that lets us use Internet for free. Norway was beautiful, you can enjoy the nature in one of the many great parks of the city or get amaze by the many sculptures that can be for some of a bit shocking. A big thumb up to the Vigeland Park, I am glad I have to visit something like this for free. The only problem with Norway is the cost of life. Norway have a high standard of living. People are all making a decent among of money. This is one of the reasons that 10% of the population of Oslo consist of Sweedish. ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » Scotland » Midlothian » Edinburgh July 6th 2010

Hey folks, Today, we will try something different; I will write a blog with Chloe. So don’t be afraid if you see some French here and there. You will see, it doesn’t hurt much. So we are leaving Scotland tomorrow. We will be flying to Oslo via London in the middle of the afternoon. I would have stay here for months, but there is so much to see in the world and so little time. Is a funny feeling, starting tomorrow night, no more English, no more expensive pound, no more annoying kingdom, no more whiskey and no more sheep’s. I can assure you all that Chloe will survive this huge hard lost. I hear you all! Are they going to talk about what they visited and did during the last week? Yes! It was another ... read more
