Hey folks, What a week! I have no idea where to start and what this blog is going to look like. We left Ireland today. I know it is shame but we need to move on. At the end, it was 8 great days. I will bring you guys back in time, yes I can do that. So…8 days ago…We left Liverpool early in the morning and took a train/tube/weird train to Chester were we took another train to Holyhead. We had 3 hours to explore Wales. We spent it all in the train station. Anyway, we then took the ferry to Dublin. It takes about 5 hours of boat to cross the 120km between the two islands. By the way, the ferry is not the same kind of cheap boat that take you from Quebec ... read more

Visite tres interessante! Deuxieme halte: Liverpool. Ville legedaire pour les Beatles. Nous y avons eu peu de temps. Nous avons marche sur cavern street, lendroit ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Merseyside » Liverpool June 22nd 2010

We are now in Liverpool, hometown of the Beatles and according the population, the greatest Football team ever Liverpool FC. Before Liverpool, we stayed in Manchester for 2 nights. Manchester was way under my expectation. I was expecting a vibrant city were all that matter is Football and you get it you can see England flags everywhere and there is an intense ManU fever, but other than that, there is not much. The city centre is in massive construction, they are renovating almost every street at the same time and lots of building. Do you know what? The city workers are working the weekend. As many tourists being told, the nightlife is fantastic. I have to admit, it’s true. There is a great underground scene and great party atmosphere. Other than that there is not much ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Somerset » Bath June 19th 2010

Chloé ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Somerset » Bath June 19th 2010

Hey there, So we are now in Bath. We leave tomorrow early in the morning for Manchester. First off, it is the first time I go somewhere else in the UK than London. Bath is a quiet city with lots of older people and an amazing architecture. This place as a real charm but there is not much to do. We arrived at noon and walk directly to the hostel which is about 50 meters from the train station. The room wasn’t ready but they gently took our bags behind the front desk for the day. We were supposed to book a tour of Stonehenge the next day, but as it was recommend by the tourist information clerk we train to the nearest town and took place on the actual Imperial Bus tour to Stonehenge (about ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Greater London » Piccadilly June 17th 2010

Hello everyone, Its crazy how life can be some how unexpected. Anyway, yesterday was a huge day...start up early by a free tour. Tour are given by Sandmans New Europe. They are making tours all over Europe and it is a great way to first of all meet other travelers and also find your repairs in the city you will be visiting in next few days. So we did the tour, walk around the royal town for about 3hours. Because London is so huge, they only cover this section of the city in the tour. However, they have 3 other tours (cost around 8£ each) that will cover other section of the city (old city, east end, nightlife). The tour start in green park and went by the buckingham palace, where we watch part of the ... read more

Hey folks, I have only 8 minutes to write this so I will highlight what we did in the first 3 days of our journey around Europe and North Africa. Day 1-2: Arrived at the airport in Montreal way too early. We walk around for 30 minutes, and went to an expensive table to watch the first half of the Germany WC game. At the half we went in line for check in and some lady told us that we were upgrade to Air Can first class and will be landing in Heathrow. It was the best news I had in a long time and was very happy to fallow her to the Air transat desk. But, yes there is a but, once we made it there (at the very end of the terminal), an other ... read more
