Love your pic! Just stunning! I saw your pic by chance and was wondering where it was taken. So I was very surprised to find out it's Switzerland cause I am Swiss. Sometimes we don't have to travel far to find amazing places. Thanks for sharing and have fun on your trip!
Small world I felt like I was the only foreigner to ever go and see those monkeys! So strange to know that someone I know has been to some of the most alien places to english speakers that I had ever been. Good job covering all the essentials in Kyoto! I hope you took as much away from it as I did. Looking forward to catching up with you soon.

Jealousy Nish!!! hey buddy, long time no speak! That is strange you left me a message here because I was just thinking about Europe and wondering what you were up to. I would love to come to India too, its not far off Thailand either hey. I have been travelling for ages now and feel like I am beginning to get exhausted, since I have not been settled and working so it's just been go go go and relentlessly living out of my small backpack! Better get packing ;-) chat soon mate!
Jealousy Hey Kimmy boy!
from your snaps and looking at how much u have travelled I am of the opinion that u are having the greatest time of your life...
dude, m really happy for you, and while u are in Asia, how about a drop in India... it would be great to have you here...
I have started practicing at the High Court of Gujarat in India... feels good to be called a lawyer finally... i some times look like a lost little boy in a fancy dress competition wearing those black robes...
any ways... do let me know of ur plans further...
take care... great going dude.. long way to go
Tanuki The animals are called Tanuki. They are sort of like a racoon.
They are usually found in the forest. They are fairly symbolic of nature and good fortune. They have huge testicles. Because they are so fat and jolly, and often hold sake and such, they represent more or less having plenty to go around, so fertility and good living.

Japan Things to make sure you do in Japan:
Try melon Fanta - this ones important
Take a train somewhere when it's cold or hot. See the difference to here.
Soak up as much culture as you can, visit temples even if they look boring
Try to get to kyoto or nara to see more temples.
Buy at least one crazy hat.
Tota Hi, you chose an excellent place to finish your tour through Egypt!
I was there a couple of weeks ago - for the fifth time I think - and really enjoyed it. And by the way the name of the place where you had a night out is the Tota Dance Bar.
Suck in the knowledge If anything, you're sucking in the knowledge on this trip! Your photos are great. Sounds like you're on a study tour! Feel free to throw in a pic or 2 of the wild nitelife.

Beautiful photos..... Not from N.Z. I dunno you tell me, am I? :-) I was thinking all my pics and no native wild life! and most often they are more interesting to look at than a bunch of hills so I thought I should capture a few pics of the local animals. I had quite a bit of trouble chasing down the squirrles in Sherwood forest... appears they are very camera shy.
Hi from Australia Hi Kim, hard to imagine the dungeon fun. However, the crown jewels must have been beautiful. Looking forward to your impressions of Scotland - cold now I would imagine.
Have fun. M
Having a ball Hey Sal!! Yeah I am having a great time, every night is a party and every day an adventure - is a bit tiring though, I am soon off to scotland in a hire car so maybe we will slow down a bit then and take our time :-)
Australian born - never travelled outside of australia before. First stop UK then europe and possibly Egypt then over to Japan and working myway down through south east asia. Eventually back to work :-)... full info
