Columbus
A monument to C. Columbus in Barcelona right on the water front... Wish I had taken a photo at night because there a short distance from there was a warf with foodlights pointed into the water and hundreds of fish being fed. Day4 (24th)
Lyon to Barcelona. Here we visited the famous Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard then continued off through to the Mediterranean city of Barcelona. Tonight being my birthday All 50 of us went out clubbing and by the time it hit 12am everyone went crazy and drinks were flowing, the locals there offered so much free drinks, that and being my birthday I didn’t pay for one drink. I was also given 25 free drink vouchers, this turned out to be a bad thing as many people were sick the next day. Lucky for me I was only a bit hung over and managed to and via the make good use of the following day.
Day 5 (25th)
Today I went sight seeing, of the sights I saw are; But Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral, the 1992 Olympic complex, And the gothic district, we sampled some of the fine Spanish leather and the great shopping. The Spanis at the time have such great style but they’re prices are great. Definitely a must for shoppers. Been
Day 6 (26th)
I returned to France again, traveled through the fabled region of province en route to the Mediterranean city of Nice,
Nice
The name says it all, This place is verz NICE, roller blading down here was so great, I have to come back here some time known as the jewel of the French Rivera.
Day 7 (27th)
Today I went rollerblading along the beach front of Nice from one end to the other, the water was amazing so I had to take a swim as well! Later that night I went to Monaco and took at look at that amazing country situated just over the hill from Nice. The rich and famous were there. The Monte Carlo casino was incredible not to mention what was outside - every car lovers dream. Porches Ferraris you name it, even four maybachs parked next to each other
Day 8, (28th)
I woke up early today to take some pictures of the sun coming up over the ocean and to say goodbye to Nice. I love this place and will return some time soon. Next stop was Italy, I samped some pizza (very nice) and then went to see the Duomo Giotto’s Bell-Tower, Piazza Della signoria and Santa Croce.
