A view from my hotel room. A view from my hotel room. A view from my hotel room.

I would wake up to this every day of my life :-)
Dahab.... as mentioned before an Egyptian paradise with a teaspoon of commercialism, the place is laid back and beach styled with bungalows and clubs/pubs lining the foreshore, a perfect place to finish up my tour of Egypt!

This morning I slept in even though last night was not a big one.

A few friends and myself went to the most famous club in Dahab (from the front it looks just like a boat, I forget the name) But I was quite tired so left there around 12:30am and headed back to my hotel room on the water front to watch a movie and sort some things out on the net.

So eventually I got ready and decided to find something to do today so I took a walk up and down the beach. By the time I returned some friends had woken up and were also looking for things to do so we decided to get something to eat. We found a place called Funny Mummy and had a great breakfast, few drinks and then headed off to go quad biking around Dahab and into the desert. After this we went out on the town again for dinner

and entertainment and that concludes my time in Dahab as tomorrow morning I leave for the busy capital of Cairo once more.

Just a few steps and it drops off quite deep, the diving here is said to be the second best in the world. Australias Great Barrier Reef being number one.

Right on the water the chill out style cafes/restaurant consist of mats with stacks of pillows set around a large coffee table and at night fires inbetween.

Quad biking was unreal, they went about 90ks/h. We went right out into the desert for a few hours and just wrecked havok :-P doing fishies and trying to get as much air as we could. The guides that went with us were more crazy than us....

Tota
Hi, you chose an excellent place to finish your tour through Egypt! I was there a couple of weeks ago - for the fifth time I think - and really enjoyed it. And by the way the name of the place where you had a night out is the Tota Dance Bar.
