Apart from nearly being run over by bikes and trams, Amsterdam was a great place to be in! It definitely was more then I expected it to be, and Lou and Justin made the experience even more fun! The thing I couldn't get over was the bikes everywhere! I heard about the bikes, but I wasn't expecting what I saw! I wasn't sure what I was expecting! The weather was supposed to be nice (it being end of July) but it started of quite chilly and continued for the rest of the day with a spot of sun here and there... Always wanted to go to Egypt and what better time to go then on your birthday! I literally mean on my b-day because my sister and I flew on the day of our 27th b-day!!! So Me, Cutes & Vicks fly into Bergamo and luckily get to a B&B nearby. The lady who owns it picks us up from the airport which is great, and after we've dropped our stuff off, she offers to drive us somewhere to eat! We are suprised just how close everything was to the B&B. We had the station 3 mins away, the shops & restaurants 5-10 mins walk and lots of buses going to the top of Bergamo. So decided to take a day trip to Washington w/ Leyla. We woke really early to catch a bus from China Town and luckily we got some seats at the front and I got to slept for most of the (long) journey. So back to New York again and as always, great fun with great friends... Decided to stay with Leyla for the first few days since I would be spending most of my time with her. First day on my own, took a coach from The Bronx to the city. I surprisingly met a woman on the bus from Wales who had moved from London to New York to be with her husband. Went to Barcelona with my cousin Sheleen. Had a great time with her and did lots and lots of walking!!! Got to see most of everything I wanted, but at least it gives me a reason to go back to see the things I didn't get to see! So we landed in Reus Airport and made our journey to the city to our hotel. Left our bags in our hotel room and started off straight away... no time to lose!!! Started in the Gothic Quarter at the Cathedral of Barcelona which was beautiful!!! Christine's B-Day just passed and Gem & Gee organised a surprise trip for us to take her to York. It was quite amusing because everytime a sign was coming up on the motorway, we would cover Christine's eyes. It also helped that Christine is practically blind!!! There were 7 girls in total so it was a good ride upto York! A bit of singing, reading & knitting in the backseats. The trip took fairly long, but it worth the wait when we got there!!! I was supposed to be going with Marie-Car to Sardinia but unfortunately she wasn't well and after a lot of debating, decided I should go! As soon as I landed at the airport, I felt a bit odd being on my own, not travelling alone before, especially a place I knew nothing about apart from it being beautiful.
