Now whats good is that i cant deny how insane i was back in the day...everyone needs those girly holidays to realise how many fab friends you have. I learnt how u shake my booty & earn my girls free drinks whilst climbing poles all nite long..but hey that video needs to stay firmly hidden from my future kids. You know how i feel about Portugal and even though we never went to my home town, i was still able to share some good memories.... like sardinhas everyday, cariocas, Matts Bar, the policemen, Bull fights, our safari (even though we only saw goats and i think cows) was all an experience i am grateful to share with you. |

| 16th November 2006 Lani | Ja Ja Ja... - From: Bikes in Amsterdam Oh ate... I loved this entry! Brought back a lot of memories from the Dam trips I went on last year. Apart from the obvious... a lot of people forget how cultural and pretty it can be. Weren't the steps in Anne Frank's house steep or what?! Van Gogh museum was cool too - but you kinda get round it quickly. I took a pic of the same flower market sign. There's a nice cafe there which did an awesome Dutch breakfast. Leidesplein (chris & i stayed round there when i went the 2nd time... theres a wagamamas nearby lol... and we spent his 25th bday at Hard Rock then to Suzy Wong Bar (which is opposite Jimmy Woo nightclub) and to top the night off - a really cool coffee shop called The Rockery. met so many people there - a mother and son stuck out the most in my mind. Most of the other straats are cool. Did you umm experience any 'coffee shops'? LOL! There's one that I went to which was featured in Oceans 12 - they have plasmas which show the scene of Brad and George in that coffeeshop being filmed. When i find the pic I'll let you know the name for your next trip back there. Also they have a really nice thai/indonesian restaurant where you can share a 'ricetable' with lots of different dishes. It's another one of those Straat roads that I can't remember the name of right now. I hope you 3 had fun... summer is really nice there... it gets really hot - ask Gem & Zee lol. |
