Hello there. So since I last did a blog we came over to Java from Bali and have spent 2 weeks here in Java. It has been incredible and met some amazing people along the way. On Bali, the bus journey to the ferry port was great, so much room and evan had air conditioning. We were amazed for the price we paid! The ferry only took about an hour and we were on Java. The bus took us to a town called Situobundo. We were told from there we had to get a van to take us to Bondowoso. So we got out the bus and all these guys ran towards us speaking Indonesian, we had no idea what any of them were going on about, great! Finally we found someone with enough English to ... read more

Hello there. So since last time I did a blog we spent a few days on Bali, a couple days on Lombok and then almost a week on Gili Trawanagan, which I have decided is my favourite island of all the ones I've been to on this trip. I've done a blog before for Bali so I won't talk to much about it. I had my birthday here which was really good. That day we got our hotel guys to drive us to a pitch to have a kickabout, then got back and had a few beers by the pool of this hotel while watching some basketball on the TV, treated ourselved to some amazing Pizza then went out on a crazy night out...awesome birthday! After a few days in Bali we sorted out our trip ... read more

Hello there. So since I dad the last blog we flew to Darwin, then to Brisbane...then back to Bali...which is where I am now. We did that all in about a week. I just didn't like Australia. So we made took the 2 and a half hour flight to Darwin and arrived at our hostel at 4am where we arranged for someone to be there to we could get a bed. But of course no one was there so we had to sleep outside till we found an open common room. Good start. The weather is Darwin was pretty crap. This time of year the weather in the North is pretty wet and in Darwin it's really hot. So its soooo muggy there. Apparently it was quite easy to find work there but we really didn't ... read more

So since my last blog we got the 3 hour flight from Kuala Lampur to Bali and we've been here in Bali for a week now. Bali has been such a cool place to end our travels in Asia. The weather maybe could have been better but even then its been awesome to be here. We got in the first night and the rain was pouring like it would never stop but we managed to get from our hotel to a bar to watch the football. We talked to guy at the bar whop said the downpour of rain wasn;t normal and shouldn't keep happening. It turned out to rain most of the next few days though! After staying in the nice place with a bar and pool that we booked on the internet for 2 ... read more

Hello there. So since I did the last blog we've been in Malaysia for 2 weeks. From Kota Bharu we got he early jungle train to Jerantut where you get the bus to Taman Negara. The train journey was really cool as it was straight through thick jungle almost all the time, so there was a lot to look out and see. The whole journey took about 10 hours but it flew by for me because of the scenery. The only bad thing about the train was the abundance of cockroaches, there were so many! I saw more of them on that train than all the trains in Inda put together. But after a while I got used to it and me and the cockroaches were cool. So any way when we got to Jerantut we ... read more

Hello there. It was ages since I last did a blog so I might have some trouble remembering it all but I'm sure fine detalails don't matter too much! Since the last time I blogged we were about to embark on our journey to Burma to get 15 more days in Thailand stamped on our passports. The journey was pretty tedious. It started on a night boat that just had mats along the floor where everyone had to sleep right next to eachother. I didn't have it too bad as I was between some decent Irish guy and Jay but Jay was between me and a fat Russian fella, bad times. Either way it still felt like a refugee boat! Once we got to the mainland in the morning be got some food and were put ... read more

Hello there. So since the last time I blogged we had the trip from Bangkok to Koh Pha-Ngan and have been here 10 nights now. The problem with writing a blog about this place is that I'm not sure that there's a lot to write about as we havnt done all that much other than party...a lot! But I shall try anyway and put some pics on. The journey from Bangkok to Koh Pha-Ngan was pretty crap. The sleeper bus this time only had recling chairs so getting to sleep was pretty hard. And just as I was nodding off the bus had a stop for food at midnight, why freakin midnight?!?! Then there was a mistake and the boat we were sopose to be going on was overbooked to we had to go to a ... read more

Hello there. So last time I blogged we had just got to Bangkok on the train from Chang Mai. We have been here 9 nights now and have done soooo much so hopefully I can remember it all! Ofcourse the first night here we just had to have a night out on Khaosan road. Khaosan road is simply the best party ever (so far anyway) and it's on everynight! It's got the carnival atmosphere all the time, in the day with the market stalls selling mostly funny clothes, the knock off music places booming out hits, all the street food ladies selling Pad Thai, the tuk tuk drivers always asking where you want to go etc etc. And in the night time its all neon lights, Bucket bars (where you get a bucket of drink literally, ... read more

Hello there. So Since last time I blogged we've been to Pai and then back down all the way to Bangkok which is where I am now. We only ended up staying in Chang Mai for 2 nights, it was alot bigger than I expected and had a big city vibe about it. The King's birthday celebrations were pretty good but other than that we thought it would be better to get the bus to Pai which is a bit more north than Chang Mai. We had heard about Pai from quite a few people we met and they all said they though it was better than Chang Mai, plus our friends from New Zealand that we met in Vietnam were there so off we went to Pai. The morning that we left though was the ... read more

Hello there. So since last time I blogged we've spent about a week in Luang Prabang and travelled to Chang Mai in Thailand which is where I am now. Luang Prabang was exactly what we needed after the crazyness and partying of Vang Vieng. The place is soooo chilled out and peaceful and even has a curfew of 12am, not because of dangers but because all the locals get up to give the monks rice and banana's at 6am everymorning (one thing we meant to see but it was all a bit to early for us!). One day we went to a bar called Lao Lao, which is named after their own Laos Whiskey which is actually illegal but noone cares, and we met this local lad named 'Bobby'. It always makes me laugh when these ... read more
