I am an independent backpacker planning my second trip, leaving in the summer just before Graduation on a one way trip to Asia and Australia.
After 16 years of formal education I believe I deserve a break to see more of the world and spend some time being an Au Pair before I think about a career path. Maybe I'll even get to tick getting an Australian boyfriend off my bucket list!! Who knows what's in store for the next year, I certainly don't.

I'm here in Leeds in the UK as a PhD student in Tibetan Buddhism. It's hard to believe that this time last year I was in Istanbul preparing for a trip to Nepal and Tibet with a group of Turkish students. But I've finished my first year here - what a whirlwind! So I thought I'd blog about some of the trips I've taken for fieldwork both in this beautiful country and others. It will be an interesting journey indeed!

Hi my name's Naomi. This May we are setting off on a trip of a lifetime. My husband Luke and our 18 month old son Alexander on our Moody 41 'Luna Ray' plan to sail around the world. Well that's our big goal anyway!!!! First leg of the trip will be cruising to Darwin over the next 5 months so we'll see how that leaves us feeling. If all goes well our plan is to sail to Asia in September and see how things go from there :)

The trip is called "Spain the long long way round"
Lead rider is Dave "Wonky eye" Goode on his BMW R1200C with the route mapped out, and sat nav set up. Plus the ferry tickets
No 2 is Ken Hall known as "F" to his mates on the Honda pan European, normally gets lost so he number 2
Neil "big nose" Aston no 3, on BMW r1100RT
Scouse Dave Cooper tail end with sat nav to make sure we all make each leg on his R 1200GS
