We are about to RV West via the Southern route for a several weeks and hoping to cover about 9,000 miles. Visiting many National Parks. I was 10 the first time I left America and started to see the world. Now, at the age of 20, I can't stop traveling. I love to experience different cultures while seeing the beautiful world. I constantly have pen and paper ready to tell stories about my amazing adventures. I'm starting my first solo trip, but I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I grew up on the road. Having to travel five hours every weekend to visit our grandma in the 80's. The long, winding and bumpy road has been a common sight to me through the years. If the rich and famous have traveled around the world, I would say, I'm one of the privileged to have toured around my native country - the Philippines. :)

I am an architecture student from Germany and my love for traveling brought me recently for an exchange year to Chinas megacity Shanghai. Besides studying, traveling is the declared goal, to see as much as possible of this beautiful and incredibly huge country. Actually this blog should also be kind of a diary for myself. I write it, to review my experiences and, from time to time, it might be more anecdotal and about the small things that happened, than about the big touristy highlights. Although (or maybe because) China is in many respects kind of a antipode to Germany, I really enjoy my time over here. People are friendly and helpful, food is delicious and versatile and there is so much to explore... Since english is not my mother tongue, I'm sure there will be many mistakes, please feel free to tell me...

After graduating from Ohio State and spending some great years in Columbus, I began to want something more. People began to ask me "What are your plans after graduation?" and to be honest I had intentions of moving to Chicago to pursue life as a designer. But I began to want something more then a desk job. A life full of new experiences, both good and bad, that would move my soul. And to find a career that would allow me to fill my desire for travel and love of the ocean. At 24 years old, and at a major turning point in my life, I decided to follow what I knew my heart truely desired, a life full of travel and adventure. I will be traveling to Australia for the next 6 months to pursue a career as a scuba diving instructor. Along the way, I hope to experience alot of different cultures and see what the world has to offer. After I become certified, I plan on traveling to Kenya and Europe before returning home in the fall. I know that this adventure is going to open my eyes to a new kind of world that I have always dreamed of, a life of eye opening experiences. A life of wanderlust.
