Hello world. This is Annette and Ravi's travelog. We are traveling for 10 months, the first part of our journey involves working at 3 organic farms and staying in Charlie (our van) in between. The second part of our journey is traveling to South America, the first 5 weeks at an Amazon Rainforest animal rescue centre, the rest is largely unknown! Abbreviations are being used, AP is Annette P, RM is Ravi M. DB is Daniel B, other names will be abbreviated along the way!

Hey everybody,
I'm Nelly, 27 and I've been preparing my trip around the world, starting this spring already! I've chosen to make the most of this by creating a project with the aim to make a difference, eventhough it may be small.
I'll try to do that by volunteering as a fifth year medical student and teacher (qualified-to-be) in well-chosen projects, and involving people in the Netherlands and the rest of the world by writing columns with my experiences, trying to inform people of what life is like in other parts of the world, to raise awareness and hopefully inspire them to make a difference in their own way. I know it's a big aim, but you know... Where would we end up if we don't believe in trying?

I am originally a Washingtonian but go to school in sunny San Diego! I volunteered in Costa Rica the summer of 2012 for 5 weeks and am currently in Australia with an exchange program at Deakin University until the end of June. I took an 8 day Road trip around New Zealand in an RV for Easter Break and in Late August/ early September I head to Barcelona, Spain! I haven't been anywhere else so far but I have a HUGE list.
