We (Anna-Pauline, Claudia and Urska) are students on two schools (DNS and PTG/DAgskole) in Tvind. We decided to organise a six week study travel in USA. Our aim is to learn about modern pedagogy and American culture and society. Our aim is to visit various schools, research centers and other institutions. We will travel from Chicago along the east coast to Orladno. During this time we will use public transportations and hitchhike. I am an Anthropology major at the University of Iowa with only one semester left, which I am going to spend in Peru. I have never been in a total emersion expereince in a foriegn language country although I should be ok after 8 yrs of spanish. I am very excited to do some cultural anthropology there, interviewing the Indigenous persons there about the effects of globalization on their traditional lives.
