Ok, I know, I've been very lazy with the blog. There just comes a point after so long of travelling that you lose the enthusiasm. Of course, that is not to say I have stopped enjoying myself. Another reason is all the bad press I have heard of in the UK regarding prospective employers searching out private life antics. Why that matters I do not know? If your good at your job with a proven track record and you bring the money in for the company, why should it matter. So if a prospective employer is reading this and you want [View Full Entry]

Its winter here in Argentina and it was very welcome. Buenos Aires is a beautiful place and it could pass for any European city. It does have a bad reputation for crime but I must admit I never saw it and I felt far safer here than in Mexico. Saying that half of the hostel that went to a Boca football match got mugged so the moral of the story is not to go and watch the football. Buenos Aires comes alive at night with its tango dancing and parties. I took a tango lesson which was interesting and it was [View Full Entry]

Well after leaving La Ticla we made our way south to Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. Zihuat being a mexican holiday destination and Ixtapa being a tourist high rise destination. So we stayed obvoiusly in Zihuat and and went surfing at Trocones. It was here that I got the worst sun burn I have ever had on my back. After 3 days of no sleep I started to blister and I had to go to the doctor. It took 2 weeks to heal. Another medical disaster occured here too as I had a hole in my tooth that was starting to get really [View Full Entry]

Ok, I've been really bad lately at keeping my blog updated I know. However I am travelling remote places on the Pacific coast of Mexico. I will update photos at a later date. I wish I could share some of the photos with you now as I am having an excellent time here. Different but an experience to say the least. Started in Puerto Vallerta (PV) which is a tourist destination for the Gringos (Americans) for a few days and then headed North to Sayalita which was gorgeous. No surf there though so after hooking up with Tom (English but not [View Full Entry]

Davis is about an hour east of San Fran in the desert. I camped at the airfield along with 200 other skydivers for 5 days and had a lot of fun. I was taking it easy though as I hadn't jumped for 5 months and its bloody expensive. I did 9 jumps and I learnt so much in such a short space of time. Met some fantastic people and my love for the sport has grown more. Its something however I'll have to pick up when I return as skydiving without a job equals an extremely poor and single man. Still [View Full Entry]

I've been staying with an old friend from uni for just over a week at Newport Beach, Orange County. This place is all about sun, party and lots and lots of money. I've been invited to so many parties that I just can't do any more for a while. The beaches are great, the people are really friendly and the women are something else completely. Their voices drive me insane however and I sometimes think they are all stupid assholes. Well to be honest they are thick, everyone knows that. But they really do know how to have fun. Yesterday was [View Full Entry]

Well the flight from Seattle to San Fran via Salt Lake City was easy enough. San Fran is a nice place but I've been watching my ass with all the shit stabbers around. I have never taken a tour in my in all my travels but this time I decided to take a Green Tortoise tour around the Canyons of the West. There was no way I could do it on my own for the same money and I must admit it was awesome. This 9 day tour included Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Arches National Park, Grand Canyon and [View Full Entry]

Well I had a nightmare of a 5 1/2 hr flight from Montreal back to Vancouver. I was sitting next to the most rude and arrogant americans I have ever met. This guy was taking all the room and it was imposiible to get some rest what ever I tried. Well I won in the end. In the free section in the hostel fridge was 8 eggs, so I scrambled them up and made sandwiches for the plane as Air Canada are tight bastards and don't feed you. I felt a good one brewing so I turned away from him [View Full Entry]

Just a short flight to Montreal where I met up with Sandra. I met her in NZ last year and she served as my tour guide along with her boyfriend Louis for the next 6 days or so. Montreal is lovely place and it certainly has a lot more character than any other Canadian city. The only problem is that they are Frenchies! Well I shouldn't knock them down to the Frenchies level as they don't have the same terrible behaviour as the French. And after all after a few beers they eat Poutine - cheese, gravy on chips and [View Full Entry]
