Oh, to be young and fearless Did I tell you at age 49 I tubed down a cave in Belise? But I could not have crawled though a tight tunnel for 300 feet! Mom
Donavin, What do they have in the drinking water in NZ? (It has to be Scotch!) First it is Bungee Jumping, and now Spelunking. I am worried about what might be next!

When the wrong side of the road is the right Yes, that truck is sweet...but what I find most unique is the side of the road the couple is driving on. What a great perspective you give us while driving.
Thanks again for the interesting blog and photos. I like the smell of burning Kerosene from the antique lamps that we have on our mantle. Somehow, I have just never tried to juggle them!!

Ay, The Thrilla in Shea Field the fans got their money's worth, even at $1000 a ticket....
went down to the third out, third strick bottom of the 9th inning...go ahead run on 1st with bases loaded....
it doesn't get any better than this
a tough Mudcat Grant style in control pitcher against an iron man hitter with Casey arms that can shatter a ball and drive the ball outta the ball field
a wicked 78 mph curveball that started out high and outside, slashing right to left and top to bottom that left the batter dazed and standing flat footed
No Joy In Mudville as Beltran struck out and the Fat Lady Gasped
fellow traveler Thanks so much for sharing. How does it feel standing upside down from us or we from you. So, you are having income to debt ratio trouble also. Welcome to the real world. hahahahahaha
Italy I am waiting for Italy....afterall we walked our legs, feet and soles off there including nearly loosing our lives in a crowd of 20,000 people in the square on Dec 31st. And don't you miss the thin pizza?
Yes I remember well sailing through the English Channel and seeing the White Cliffs of Dover. A very long time ago--the army hasn't transported troops overseas by ships for decades.
Great photographs.
It looks like spring is well along Son, it is so beautiful there. I love all the spring blooms in the flowering trees. How strange to see palm like trees interspersed. I liked that live wall also. I have no idea what the plant is though. Go back and take a closer and direct shot of it.
What more could you ask for than good friends and good food Hi Son, I am so glad you have good friends there. Hopefully you will be able to connect up with them later in your/their travels. Nice to see you in a picture. I think this is the first!
Thanks! Donavin, this was the most wonderful train trip. Your photography is outstanding as was the scenery along the way. I'll bet you enjoyed the Bagpipe Music and those musicians who performed for you. I cannot wait for my wife to return so she can see your latest adventure!

Text books Looking forward to graduating this spring so I can read for other reasons than memorizing. Your vacation sounds fun...I will see you later in the year.
I wish I had discovered this blog years ago. I did the mass email update for my previous adventures (United States and Europe) and now have no online documentation to share with fellow travelers.
To the chagrin of some friends and family wanderlust has struck again. I managed to stay focused for nearly a year and a half in a job related to my college education, however the desire to travel has grown strong again and can no longer be suppressed.
I have secured a 12 month Visa for New Zealand and hope to document this adventure for posterity, or at least the life of the TravelBlog.
