Sky tower!
Yes, I can see the needle of the Sky Tower. So you must be in the downtown area? I am so happy you found a place that suits your needs. What happened to #3 room mate...could you not find a 3 bedroom? I just purchased a couple plants for the dining room-they add life to the room! Do you have a balcony for sitting outside? Miss you so and am so happy we got to be together for a couple of weeks. Think of you often. Love, Mom

Looks great!
The place looks great and it's a flat of your own (well, almost since you have a roommate). It looks bigger than Hamish's flat but I've been in phone booths bigger than his kitchen. Now we need pictures of you entertaining - you know, apartment-warming and the like. Also, blog some pictures of your roommate, Marcos (sp?). All the best.

Modern Living
Hi Donavin! Your place looks great! It's not that small to me, but then, I've been getting used to NYC size places. I love the decor. Very modern and European. Dan and I just bought a real house in Royal Oak Michigan, not far from Detroit, and a) the first thing we're doing is removing the ugly gold knobs, shell sinks, light fixtures, big dark drapes, etc. to give it a more modern european style look (which is hard to do in the States because very few stores sell that stuff!) and b) we're trying to figure out what in the heck we're going to do with 3300 sq ft! We honestly tried hard to buy smaller, but it was impossible to find any new construction in the area closer to 2000 sq ft. Typical American consumerism! So all I can say now is, we expect many visitors, cause boy do we have the space!!!

You know, after reading all of the past comments on your blog that folks want displayed publically, I remembered my days as a parent of growing children. I did not wish for them to be like me when they grew up. Rather, I wanted them to hold the same aspirations and values that I felt I should hold. Sometimes it was more "do as I say and not as I do." And that's OK. Few of us view ourselves as perfect. So, when my adult children did not swallow whole all the ideas and teachings I sought to imbue them with, I did not stop loving them or criticize them in public. That is, for better or worse, one of the values I still hold dear: unconditional love of a parent for his children is simply that -- unconditional. There are no buts, what ifs or maybes.

???
I would normally not say anything but I have to after hearing that about the B-day. It is hard for me to believe you have gone so far off course. Doing things that for some time you would not have done. New Years, Holloween, Thanks Giving, Christmas, B-days, and what not. The trip I sent you and your mother on to New York ment and means nothing to you. That I am very sorry about. I was sad to see you traveled 1,000s of miles to see an event that you knew was wrong but you did it anyway. There is something fun about that. You did not even call your brother. I am saddened to see how far you have changed. It is really disappointing.
