Great Photographs Great photographs, Donavin. I took many photographs on this trip, and I may as well throw them all away. You catch the essence of what we saw and did in Washington D.C. so much better and so much more beautifullly. A nice reminder of a wonderful trip.
Passage into Manhood perhaps the most important part of the passage into adult manhood is not what we can grow on our face and cheeks of the butt but what changes occur in our maturing adult thought processes in our brains and psychi
The road to manhood is not smooth or hairless
Documenting America's Greatness Donavan,
you have photo documented America's greatest strength's and our most proud moments and accomplishments in history. Perhaps someday in our future, America will return to this path of freedom, justice and equal opportunity for ALL
sñ tñ do; nÁn tñ do
What's a Little Blood and Guts Cricket, ah, the game of English gentile
now, Auzzie Rules Football....that's the game of Real Men....just forget the part about rules....a misnomer....only rule is to survive and win....they take no prisoners alive
remember, those Auzzies have criminals as ancestors...looks like some of them may have escaped over the Tasman Sea and snuck into Kiwi Land like Bush's wetback problemo
First mustache I've heard that sheep manure helps the growing process, apply daily....fresh and warm is best.
take to your grandfather Hazen for further advice
Pain! The sight of your forearm made me grimmace and my stomach jump. If there is protection available to help prevent this kind of injury, wear it for your next game. (Fatherly advise!)
Jim
Rough lookin team So these are the people you work with? What a great way to take out your frustrations with a fellow employee! I wish I could do that with a group I am working with!
Ultimate Design I would suggest the ultimate design of your facial hair to mimic Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead - it may give you more street cred at the office.
Day 2 of the beard Saw your picture and was reminded of the words in Ecclesiastes: "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof."
All the best!
Metric System Not only are your distance indications in metric, but the blogs must also be in metric form, because when printing them out, some of the width is not shown and the 8 1/2 X 11. Maybe my computer knowledge is lacking in setting up the printer for these items. Keep them coming and don't scratch the wire brush! Jim
Stubble growth. We have the same thing in common, blonde facial hair and not a lot of it. It is good of you to participate in this event, old sport. We'll be watching for the wire brush to grow!
Jim
Happy Halloween! Donavin, It is great to see that you are having such a wonderful time on this NZ adventure. Thanks again for your blogs. Be sure to get a date for your Uncle Cliff when he comes to visit. The one with the black pointed had!
Jim and Melinda
Wonderful Flowers! Donavin,
The rhodies and azaleas are magnificent. Thank you so much for thinking of us and giving us the tour too! The gardens and display show look great. Wish we were there! Much love, Aunt Teresia
Keep Wright You'll be an expert at that crazed wrong side of the road driving when ye come home from down under....must be from being on the top of their heads all the time that makes 'em drive like that...round a bouts must be fun, heh?

I am so glad you are safe Beautiful scenery. I have to admit I did not like hearing about your close call but those things do happen and you were on your toes...good for you. So glad you are alive to tell us another story (blog).
Dr Suess Trees What kind of trees were those growing along the fence? They looked like stripped umbrellas. The area looks similar to the rain forest in the Olympic National Forrest...remember when we lived there?
beautiful PICs You sure have been to alot of beautiful places. Thank you for sharing with us all this beauty. The Mt. Taranaki brought back memories of Mt. Rainier with Ogo from Mexico. Times long since past but for sure not forgotten. Thanks again for sharing.
Sheep Stay away from the sheep, even the good looking ones
just 1 sheep will make you dry up like Brugge
Kiwis love their sheep too much. It's all that rain, makes a good man go daff in the head, I tell ya
Come home if the sheep start looking good
Left is NOT Wright Ay, you're gonna git killed ya know drivin on the rong side of ye road don't ye know?
Makes me sick just lookin at those bloody flippin flipped around pictures. Come back home to the good ole USA before one of those wrong side crazies kills ya mate.
Bloody British Empire infected the whole bloomin world with weird ideas
glad you are having fun
Uncle Cliff
get a woman and quit the potato skins and milk shakes
Cheap scape? How does a 6 ft man sleep in a 4 ft car? You are grown now and have a nice job. You no longer have to pinch pennies on vacation as we did while you were growing up. Splurge on a bed. The trip looked fun. Thanks for taking pictures of the trip along the way. Those taken from inside the car give me the feeling I was in there with you.
I sent an email a couple of months ago I dreaded as soon as I pressed the send button so I could sympathize with your experience....what embarresment did yours cause you? Sure miss you....
I wish I had discovered this blog years ago. I did the mass email update for my previous adventures (United States and Europe) and now have no online documentation to share with fellow travelers.
To the chagrin of some friends and family wanderlust has struck again. I managed to stay focused for nearly a year and a half in a job related to my college education, however the desire to travel has grown strong again and can no longer be suppressed.
I have secured a 12 month Visa for New Zealand and hope to document this adventure for posterity, or at least the life of the TravelBlog.
