Okay, I am not a jetsetter or what people call a world traveler but I do have my share of traveling- whether local or abroad. I do love to travel. I love discovering new places, learning about its culture and getting to know people from different backgrounds and ethnicity. The experience I get from traveling far outweighs what I read about it or watch on TV. There’s nothing more fulfilling than being there personally. Regardless of destination, I am not a light traveler. I don’t think I can survive with just a backpack. I have to have my essentials with me all the time. Some say I am an OC- obsessive compulsive- that way. For me, it is always better safe than sorry. I know there are a lot of articles and blogs written about traveling. ... read more

Being in the busy life of Metro Manila during weekdays, I always wanted to balance life by traveling out of town during weekends, holidays and when there are opportunities to do so. With few research and lots of adventurous attitude, I go to places without guide and without companion most of the time. Traveling alone adds to the excitement, fun and adventure. It was one weekend when I headed south of Manila. I boarded an air-conditioned bus bound for LUCENA CITY. The trip consumed the whole stretch of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), then made an exit at Barangay Turbina in Calamba City, then passed by the municipality of STO. TOMAS (BATANGAS) then the town of ALAMINOS (LAGUNA) and the city of SAN PABLO (LAGUNA), then finally arrived QUEZON PROVINCE passing the municipalities of TIAONG, CANDELARIA ... read more

We know Manila as the Capital of the Philippines, an overpopulated, toxically polluted and congested traffic Metropolitan where numerous of bad things have already happened and are still happening every single day. From Natural Disasters like Ondoy who stole many lives in just a few hours to regular thieves and other cons doing multiple crimes to People residing within the Metro. You need to have a tough gut to be able to survive in this Chaotically Urbanized Jungle… However, Manila is not all that, there has to be something good amidst all the negativities brought about by this place. As I was researching regarding the unique things to do in Manila, not just shopping and night life, I discovered a feel good romantic experience – the one you’ve watched on the television, where the lead actors ... read more

I am currently employed at an investment house right now. I am not yet allowed to have a leave at my new work. So I have researched places near Manila which I can experience my sweet escapes. I have this wanderlust inside me is as if that if I just stay at one place I would go crazy. So I have to constantly move or get out of my comfort zone every month. It’s very important for me to havea work life balance. This is the thing that I have learned from Europeans. People from there, work to live and not live to work. Find time for yourself, for your family and for your friends. One of the best ways to spend time with them is through travel. Here are some places near Manila which you ... read more

The Friendliest Travel Blog site. Some community we have here! I guess bloggers in TB feel "connected" to each other after reading each other's blogs and following each blogger's adventures. Through the years, some of us "skyped" , emailed and tweeted each other about our comings and goings. We agreed, we argued, we sympathized, we missed each other even before we actually met! Met Ben in Manila. The very first blogger I've met. Fetched him from his guesthouse one afternoon after leaving messages in each other's inbox. Had dinner at Via Mare to sample bibingka (rice cake), pancit luglog (noodles with a shrimp paste dressing), bagnet salad (a salad with fried/dried pork fried to a crisp, a dish from Northern Philippines). Unfortunately, Ben and I completely forgot to have a photo taken and there was no ... read more
