I will never forget the first time I’ve tasted Frozen Norwegian Shrimps fresh from the sea. I have tasted so many shrimps in different countries but this is by far the best Shrimps I have ever tasted. It was so fresh and so heavenly that you will be wanting for more; even if it was just half cooked. It was my first trip to Bergen, Norway when my Uncle Rune brought us to the city centre where we bought ½ kilos of Shrimp which costs about 300 Norwegian Krone. We ate the shrimps by the bay and threw away the skin of the shrimps at the bay so that the birds will eat it. This is a Norwegian way of recycling things so that it would not turn into garbage. Eating Frozen Norwegian Shrimps is a ... read more

‘”To eat ethnic food in the place that gave life, and to immerse oneself in the history and culture of that place, can transform an otherwise mundane meal into an extraordinary experience. “ ( Benning J, 2010) Belgium is famous for its many types of cuisines. I really enjoyed my stay here in Belgium since we ate authentic Belgian Waffles, Belgian Fries and Belgian Chocolates. Most of the Cuisines that I tried were from random restaurants, cafes and food stand ups. I did not anymore researched on what would be the best one since I think it is all the same, so I picked the restaurant/ cafe which will be convenient for my walking. Luckily all of the foods that I have tasted were really good. While walking in the shopping district of Antwerp, Belgium, I ... read more

The French Riviera also known as Cote D’Azur is one of the most romantic destinations in Europe. It is also one of the richest places in the world. The French Riviera is also known for its royalty, casino, beaches, luxury cars, yacht’s and billionaire’s houses. The coastal scenery was really awe-inspiring and the blue water was so revitalizing. If you think that the French Riviera is only for the Rich and Famous, well think again. You can tour the whole of French Riviera on a budget. I and my family hired a tour van which brought us to the five major towns of the French Riviera for only 89 Euros per person. It’s really a good deal since they picked us up in the Airport and toured us for the whole day and brought us back ... read more

The island of Anawangin and Capones is a must see destination here in the Philippines. It is perfect for adventurous and nature loving people, since there is no electricity and commercial businesses there. You need to bring or rent a tent if you want to sleep there. But if you’re not the adventurous- nature loving person, I suggest that taking a Day Trip to Anawangin and Capones would be the perfect idea. It’s better to sleep in your own bed rather than a tent after a very long and tiring hike. I and my friends took a spontaneous trip to Anawangin. We left our house at around 5am and went to the Victory Liner Bus Station in Cubao. It took us four hours from Manila to Iba, Zambales. I think it will be a faster ride ... read more

I believe that going to a French Flea Market on a Sunday morning, is a must try for traveller’s, especially food enthusiasts. This experience is where you can really feel that you are French. You can find so many awesome, cheap and good deals in a Flea Market. The good thing here is that you can bargain the price of your desired item. I really enjoy going to markets/ bazaars in the Philippines. But this experience is a must try since the French Market is really different because they sell different types cheese, cold cuts, fruits, vegetables, truffle and other French Commodities. It’s also a good thing if you get to buy fresh ingredients and cook it at your apartment or hotel so that it will be cheaper for you and you will get to eat ... read more

If you have an extra day in Paris, one of the best excursions would be going to the palace and garden of Versailles. This will just take you a 45 minute train ride from Paris City Centre. A ticket will just cost you about 6 Euros roundtrip. The entrance fee to Versailles is about 13 Euros. Versailles is really different from Paris since it is very clean and there are few gypsies. This place is a must see since you will get to learn so much from the History of France. You will learn how their leaders treated the poor and oppressed. You will also learn how their leader’s used the money of the people to beautify their kingdom even though they are just 5 people living in the palace. In the end the people will ... read more

I have been dreaming of this place for quite along time and I finally went to Paris. I have bought and read so many tourist books and researched so many blogs about Paris in preparation for this trip. I am so happy, thankful and very lucky that my Aunt and Cousin treated my whole family to Paris. I was so happy to spend my first trip in Paris with my close cousins. We arrived in the evening in Paris on our first day. It was very exhausting since we walked 4 blocks from the train station and we had to bring our entire luggage with us. I and my cousins stayed at a very large apartment in Paris. Our apartment is located near Centres de Pompidou. ... read more

I have eaten so many cuisines in many places in the world: dimsum in Hongkong, Pad Thai in Bangkok, Taiwanese Fried Chicken in Taipei, Bibimbap in Seoul and Hainanese Chicken in Singapore; yet whenever I think of a unique cuisine I always think of Portuguese Food. It’s not your mainstream type of cuisine, since it is not very popular like American, Italian and Chinese food here in the Philippines. It was my first time to eat this kind of food that is really different from what I have ever tasted. The food at Fernando’s Restaurant at Coloane,Macau was surprisingly delicious. It’s not because that I have not been to Portugal that is why I don’t know anything about Portuguese food, but I thought that it would be very similar to Spanish Cuisine but it isn’t. Fernando’s ... read more

Baseline Party was indeed the best party I have ever been to so far. It was the wildest and craziest party ever. To those who didn’t go to Sinulog…. Where were you? You’ve just missed the biggest event in the Philippines. The crowd was fun and everyone was friendly. Strangers keep on putting face paint all over your body and the beer was overflowing. People kept throwing beer, hard drinks, and water to the crowd. The party started at 12 noon and ended up at 2 in the morning. The crowd was mostly composed of adults ages 18 to 25 which are mostly Filipinos from Manila and Cebu. There were few foreigners partying at Baseline since it is not much promoted worldwide. The street party event was like the Philippine’s Version of Tomorrowland. I and my ... read more
