Our flight out of Vancouver was delayed which meant that we only had 25 minutes in Toronto to transfer. It is a bit disconcerting to hear your names being called out over the PA System. Thankfully we are travelling only with carry-ons. Next stop Frankfurt with a delayed transfer to Hamburg.
Arrived safely despite the delays and we took the train from the airport to the main terminal downtown. Hamburg has a very efficient system and our hotel is only a 10 minute walk from there.
Settled in and explored the immediate area and the St George's district. The city is very multicultural and it was not easy finding a German restaurant.
Back to the hotel to do the first post and then get some much needed sleep.
