Hey,

Well finally arrived after the longest flight in history! On the first leg, to bankok, I was sitiing by the window, which I thought was a great Idea - ERROR! after about 4 hour in when everyone was asleep and the cabin was pitchblack I suddenly needed the loo. Now how do I get to the isle without waking up the two blokes sitting next to me? Ahhhhhh?!! Fortunatly I only had to stare at the man next to me and use my psychic powers to wake him up. Unfortunately it took another 45mins for those powers to take effect! needless to say on the next leg, to sydney, I did not make this school boy error again!

Bankok Airport is pretty but v small and after nearly 3 hours I was almost tearing my hair out. The only saving grace were a band of Thai dancers, who had some pupets and bells and stuff. Then on to sydney, and the terminal there is also v small to hang around in, but there was an amazing little surf shop that I could have spent all my holiday allowence in! (dont worry mum, I didn't spend a penny - very restrained of me!) but it was amazingly sunny and I was getting into the holiday spirit.

However, now in New zealand and it's 9am, and raining! actually it's pouring, but apparently it'll only be like this for the next day or so :-( eventually found my hostel, after going to the wrong one - opps! appatrently pays to write down the correct address of the youth hostel as there are quite a few in auckland! stayed the night in an 8 person dorm, with 5 germans and 2 fins, so the conversation was stilted, but they seemed nice. However, I had serious jet lag, (would you believe this is the first time ever i couldn't sleep on the plane!) and just wanted to have a shower and sleep, so I think they thought I was a bit moody! oh well, off on the grand tour of new zealand in a few hours, just enough time to grab some brekkie and go for an explore. Would you believe that my youth hostel is practically in the red-light district! er no jokes thanks!

Keep you all updated!

Clocks back in UK and forward in NZ!
But what is missed out is that when Shanna discovered that she had got to the wrong hostel, who did she ring at 5.48am to get the right address? Good old Ma and Pa! The benefit of putting the clocks back 1 hour wiped out in one international call! ('twas beautifully sunny here)
