Exciting, turning the corner of our favourite seawall walk to find this vision of a ship and know that we were going on it! Check in was friendly and hassle free. Minnie and mickey were in the waiting area and we got our first picture taken. Isaac was very taken with Minnie's nose! As we walked onto the ship, we we're announced, 'Disney wonder welcome the Liu family!' Isaac ran straight for the portholes! Our inside stateroom class 11A was much more spacious than I expected with lovely extra touches such as free postcards, Disney lampshades, a nappy bin, disney toiletries, and not to mention room service!
The ship departed with a party. Isaac loved playing with the streamer! The funnel sounded 'when you wish upon a star!' We then all participated in a practice emergency drill which was reassuring. We got to meet captain mickey! Our first dinner seating was at Animator's Palate for 5:45pm. Luckily they had managed to fit us into the earlier seating. The dinner experience was amazing. A show! We got to meet our 2 servers - Ozzy from Turkey and Vipin from India who served us for the whole cruise. In the course
of the meal, the black and white room began to change colour, with different characters coming to life. Towards the end mickey appeared as the sorcerers apprentice and all the staff paraded, now with colourful uniforms rather than black and white. Isaac was completely mesmerised! As was I! He kept shouting 'mouse!' When the different pictures lot up he shouted 'boo!' We loved it! The food was delicious. On the way back to our room we bumped into stitch down the corridor! Isaac chased him with stitch turning around every now and then and pouncing to encourage him! Isaac learnt stitches name straight away! - 'bye stitch!' Absolute magic! With a fast asleep baby, I finished our first evening on the disney wonder watching the lion King on funnel vision.
